Unless he is a running back, not one single person cares if Wilson had more rushing yards, by 50 and you should know better. I even allowed for the extra game Nix avg'ed 30+ yaards per game more , take out the extra game..he still threw for over 475 yards more or two games plus worth, it just shows how screwed up QBR can be. Nix out Comp %'ed him, Out yardaged him, out TD passed him, and had a lower rating.? You hang on to nuanced stats all the time. Nix had a better year by every real QB stat measured..rushing yards? Please no one gives ash=t. seriously and by a minimal margin. Nix passed for 600 plus mare yards or three games worth of Wilson's whopping 194 YPG. Stop it, this is like Chess and Checkers, with you being second even in the Kiddy game..but KING Me anyway!

Comparing Nix rookie season vs Wilson's it's all Wilson, a pro bowl season. The next season he wins the SB.
Last season Wilson had a 66.4 comp%, Nix this season 66.3, Wilson with a 26/8 TD/INT, Nix 29/12, Wilson with a 98 passer rating nix 93,3.
Looking at Wilsons career numbers they are on par with all the greats, right up there with the ultimate elite, Wilson the only QB with over 5000 rushing yards and over 46.000 passing yards. He is only behind Rodgers in TD/INT ratio. His career passer rating top 4 all time.
And the guy has never had a Hall of Fame caliber TE/WR.
My point in bringing up Nix’s rookie stats was to refute your claim that it is all Wilson. It is possible for both to have had good rookie campaigns. People need to stop acting like one or the other is trash. They are both good. One is at the start of his career while the other is nearing the sunset of his career. Wilson had some good TEs / WRs: DK Metcalf, Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy (who seems to be doing well in Cleveland without a QB), Doug Baldwin, Tyler Lockett, and Jimmy Graham (who looked like he might be a HOFer before he was traded to Seattle and is #8 all time in receiving yards by a TE) come to mind. He did have Marshawn “Beast Mode” Lynch for a number of years, which helps.
Nix has many of the same players Russ had last year (minus Jeudy) and less cap space, which you should consider in your comparison. The Broncos were predicted to have about 5 wins this season by Vegas and are in the playoffs. Give the kid some credit.
Wilson takes a ton of horrendous sacks by holding onto the ball too long. Very noticeable in the last 4 games.
Could be the receivers, defensive holding or the play calling. I don’t know the Steelers well enough to know for sure. Darn old had similar issues last night against the Lions. The refs weren’t calling the holds / down field contact. The Lions were maintaining inside leverage most the night preventing crossing patterns and holding at the break for the out routes. Combined with the blitzing equals a lot of sacks. If the refs aren’t calling it, a QB can look pretty bad. There are ways around it (see all the outside screen plays the Broncos ran against the Chiefs). The Vikings never ran plays to force the Lions out of their blitz packages, so they never had to stop.

A lot of top QBs take a lot of sacks. Part of that is to open up receivers downfield. Guys like Rodgers, Burrows, Roethlisberger, Cunningham, Elway, etc. all took a bunch of sacks.

That's not true. If you look at the sacked % career leaders, the greatest quarterbacks in the game's history tend to have the lowest percentages. Here are some notables, in order of best sack percentage:

Tom Brady, 10th
Brett Favre, 18th
Josh Allen, 19th
All the guys you listed except Cunningham had/have much better sack percentages than Wilson.
