So what are his actual PRs. I'm seriously considering offering him $100,000 to do the three marathons in 30 hours. I just want to make sure's nowhere close to a 30:47 guys as I assume a 30:47 guy could do that.

I think you're safe. I believe it's been pretty well established that that 30:47 is actually what he ran for a 7K.

I think the 3 marathons are easy if you are a relatively average club runner. the times are pretty rubbish for anybody with any background of training, its the doing them in succession when he claimed to have had no sporting background. In reality that too was a lie and he'd been running regularly for at least he previous year.

To be frank, I am a 44 year old runner who has done a bit of training in the last 12 weeks after 16 years without training. I reckon I could do those 3 marathons in 30 hours right now and I haven't had time to prepare specifically for them. If you allow him to prepare for this you will be $100k lighter in the near future.

Far better to get him to replicate his run across the Kansas dessert and his high altitude 1:12 followed after a 15 minute break by a 1:15.

So he says "I was with Rob for the entire run."

But he also said that Rob started the run without him:

That already violated the Guinness requirements of two witnesses. Perhaps Rob already got a ride from someone?

Then of course they weren't with him on Day 3 when the RV broke down and we have proof he hitchhiked:

Neither Dustin nor Michael was with Rob for the entire run. Rob ran^H^H^Hrode large portions of the first 5 days with no witnesses. Even if Michael and Dustin weren't in on the scam, they failed in their primary duty to witness the run.... starting with the very first step.

Running 78.6 miles in 30 hours would not be a remarkable or difficult accomplishment. Based on the results of the latest USATF 24 Hour race results, 1/3 of the field accomplished this distance in 24 hours or less. I think you'd be out $100,000.

Day 13 started with confusion. Rob’s confusion. I woke him up after his 3/4 hours sleep and he asked me how far we had run that day. But the day hadn’t started. “I could have sworn we’d already done some running”, he said. It was clearly all a blur of miles and miles and easy to become disoriented.

Rob was clearly pissed off that he hadn't done any running while he slept. :)

why did it take 101 pages to just point to the cadence data? Had to justify the paycheck?

Probably. We know he claims 30:47 as his 10k PR and we know he ran a 7k in 30:47, so it's likely that's where he got the number, but it could be coincidence.

Isn't there some thinking that the first few days of the transcon were legit? And wasn't the first day 87 miles or so?

He ended up finishing in 3:07 (he claims to have done a 20 minute interview during the marathon), but he's not the slouch some people on here make him out to be.

I'd like to see him replicate his 10k PB or tell us which official race he ran it in. That'd be worth some money.

The cadence data was the smoking gun that we wanted all along... Must have been the easiest pay day ever for these guys.

Given his total lack of pacing ability I would suggest that these are his de facto PRs for those distances and he blew up around 20 miles that day.

My theory, Maybe they tried to pull the wool over Michael's eyes but he caught on. He told skins and then they were all in. Michael is being handled very carefully by skins because he can point a finger where they don't want it.

Or, it was just between the three RV dudes. I doubt that though. Of course those three all knew.

Three or more , that's a lot of people to keep a secret. Someone will confess/rat off the others. One of them should get a lawyer and do it with legal help.

Please don't offer him anything. We want him to go away.

no way, 3 marathons in 30 hours at the slowest possible pace is absurdly slow for almost anyone

Rojo, if it were me, I wouldn't offer money for him to try to replicate these bogus claims. If he gets near them, he can claim the ability to have done them, just not that day. Giving him any further attention is like feeding a troll. If hardcore evidence such as the cadence before/after Asher doesn't force him to admit, nothing will. Two credentialed respected professors already systematically discredited him with an airtight case. It's hard to top that.

Just my opinion.

Also, Rojo, be aware that he already discredits his own claims about the first 3 marathons because in his own mapmyrun data, they are in reverse order, getting slower, not faster. Dustin probably rearranged the order as "literary license" to make it more impressive in the book.

I tried some VPN's to access his FB page, but it doesn't work.

The key is to change your location in Facebook to the UK. Then you will be able to visit his fan page. All negative comments are removed though.
