It's so funny how many normal people I know with master degrees in everything from engineering to philosophy that don't truly believe Americans are actually voting for Trump. Some are even joking about it being a social experiment.
No matter what I think of him it's a shame that US is losing ground. I am afraid of which countries will become mightier as a consecvense of US falling apart.

A fair minded person might note that the federal capacity for COVID testing in March was pretty much non-existent due to the botched roll-out of the CDC test.
A partisan might note also that the CDC is under the executive branch of government. Also the screening and travel restrictions failed to stop the disease vector from Europe, which is kind of hard to pin on the states.
I don't know that anyone else would have fared much better or worse at stopping the initial outbreak in the US, but the complete lack of ownership at the federal level was and is embarrassing.

Yep. And, of course, Trump looked like the lunatic he was in that debate. Biden gave an average performance and Trump still lost. Rigged said he couldn't wait for the debates because Trump would kill him in them. Well, strike one so far. The other two debates won't be as watched as this one was (if they happen at all), so Trump blew it.
