The reporting on his tax returns show extremely likely sustained tax fraud over many years for both Trump and Ivanka (Ivanka to a lesser degree with just his tax returns). The state of New York and the Manhattan DA have been getting their ducks in a row to go after Trump as soon as he is no longer President. They are undergoing a criminal investigation of him. 2 -- It is worse for democracy to allow a president to make criminal use of the office with a get of jail free card. If he is guilty he needs to be put in jail. No future president can be allowed to do what Trump is doing .... openly breaking laws, many to his personal financial benefit, because he know he is untouchable.

Well, this coming out seems to have been planned. It comes on the same day of debate #1. I doubt Eric is most likely a "B". There is some reason that this came out today and it seems to be part of the Trump election plan.

Nate Silver's biggest flaw is that he pushes the left narrative that polls are real. He does not drill down on the metrics such as primaries, voter registrations, district trends, campaign activity, ad buys, economic indicators and enthusiasm. He only reads polls, applies his "grades" and makes very bad predictions. Norpoth is the true presidential election guru. His record destroys 538.

13 Keys: Lichtman said in 2016 that Trump was Charismatic = key to Trump. He now says (without explanation) that Trump is not Charismatic = key to Biden. That is BS.

Lichtman also predicts that Dementia Joe will beat Trump. Lichtman's only caveat was that, because Trump has slowed down the post office and has engaged in voter suppression, the election may be "stealable." He's hedging on conspiracy theories and he's being subjective.

The fundamentals point to a Trump win. Things like economic recovery, registration data, enthusiasm, strength of support, and the expectation question are all pointing to a Trump win.

This election will not go your way.

I could not agree more. Giving Nixon a blanket pardon was probably the worst thing Ford did. Trump should be punished as severely as allowed under the law to send a strong message to future presidents.

1) People go to jail for tax fraud all the time...famous rich people too. Trump's taxes are being seriously scrutinized for at least 15 years. He will have to pay fees and back taxes and penalties, but, if what the NYT reported is even close to accurate (and I believe it is accurate), going to prison is not out of the question for him.

2) I get your point about not imprisoning a former President, but if we don't when one should go to jail, that sends a message that Presidents are above the law. They aren't. If Trump did something that a non-President would go to jail for, then he should also go to jail. It's a bad precedent to NOT send him to prison if he deserves to go there.

Not at all. He had a singular focus proscribed to him, and he followed that to the letter. He pawned things (like tax issues) off to other agencies/offices when they were out of his scope.
