Official LRC President Donald J Trump Thread

We Republicans DO value the US Constitution. We TREASURE it. It is not Republicans like the notorious RBG, Sotamayor and Kagan who ignore the Constitution in their rulings. They go by "feelings." The refuse to base their decisions on precedent or the Constitution. It is also DEMOCRATS who are talking about "packing the Court" and doing away with the Electoral College because they don't like how Repubs are going to have a 6-3 majority in the Court and they don't like how they win the popular vote but lose the Electoral College which is what the Constitution has determined that presidential elections should be based on.

Let's look at some facts now ...

1) We were promised that the Mueller investigation would conclude that Trump conspired/colluded the Russians during the 2016 election. Conclusion: No collusion. No Conspiracy. A Nothingburger.

2) We were promised that Trump would be impeached and removed from office. Conclusion: The impeachment was a farce. Trump was found not guilty by the Senate and the impeachment fiasco wasted 5 months of the House's time in doing legislation that was needed.

3) The Tax Returns of Trump were being withheld because it would extensive dealings Trump et al. had with the Russians. Conclusion: No dealings whatsoever.

4) We were promised by Fat Hurts et al. here that Trump had engaged in tax fraud and other felony violations over many years and the tax returns would reveal that and seal Trump's fate. Conclusion: No TAX FRAUD whatsoever. Maybe some embarrassing disclosures but nothing else. Again, no tax fraud by Trump over the last number of years.

5) It was Forbes magazine who said Trump was worth $3 Billion.

Do I think Trump is a reprehensible person? Without a doubt. But 6-3 is all that matters. Trump might be gone in 4 months. If he goes to jail - fine. I really don't care. But Biden has to still address his Ukraine extortion allegations.

Here is what I am faced with:

Biden/Harris - and a likely move to a socialistic government and a gradual degradation of the vibrancy of the American economy. Higher taxes. Higher capital gains tax rates. Possible wealth tax. Liberal justices on the High Court. Abortion for all paid for by American taxpayers. A Meritocracy out the window.

Trump - hold my nose and vote for him. A scoundrel? Of course. A vile human being? Most definitely. But his policies have been good for the country and I do NOT want Sleepy Joe and Kamala residing in the Oval Office.

I’m a much more libertarian conservative than this administration when it comes to trade, abortion, legal immigration and international alliances, to mention a few issues. But my disagreements with Biden, as broad as they are, seem fairly trivial given what’s at stake in the election. I’d rather have a president who might sometimes get a bit confused than one who deliberately sows confusion. I’d rather lose more of my paycheck in taxes under Biden than lose more of my democracy in demagogic deceit under Trump. I wholeheartedly agree what you have in bold. Trump is on a precarious slope with me as of late. When he talks about not agreeing to the election results that is troublesome. But let's not forget that Hillary has suggested to Joe to not accept any election results ...

Another thing that troubles me is how we are able to slam Trump for anything he does but you Democrats never say anything bad about Biden - you are never critical of him. You present him as a saint. Well, he is not.

There are some things to be uncovered in the Ukraine extortion issue. Hunter Biden was paid $100s of thousands for a job he had no business being in. Joe bragged about having had fired the one overseeing that investigation.

What really happened with Joe and Tara Reade?

Perhaps most troubling is Joe Biden was heading up the Senate Judiciary Committee when Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas had their reputations savagely destroyed with little evidence. The same happened with Brett Kavanaugh and Joe Biden never said one thing in defense of Brett. Joe knows how to get down in the gutter with the best of them.

Ah, back with both feet on the Trump Fantasy Train I see. That is unfortunate. Biden has done nothing and will do nothing that will risk the security and integrity of the United States. Trump's policies have done nothing positive for the United States, and even if you could fool yourself into believing that, there is no way that makes up for the corrupt behavior of Trump. You are wrong about many of those things in defense of Trump you listed. The impeachment was not a farce. He solicited help from a foreign country to get dirt on a political opponent. That is an impeachable offense. Mueller spun off many investigations into Trump including the ones that are going on in New York at the state level and with the Manhattan DA. Regarding Forbes, you were told here, and it can be found independently, that Forbes gets most of its information on the wealth of people from the people themselves. You decided to buy that hook, line, and sinker.

Trump is not a "scoundrel". He is a criminal. He is a liar. He believes our fallen US soldiers are "losers" and "suckers". As Ted Lieu correctly stated, no one with the tax returns like Trump's would be given any kind of security clearance. You are wrong to support this man. If you have to hold your nose as you vote, it should be for Biden.

Go back to 2016, and you are not correct. FH was definitely one of the most vocal about that early on. FH gets to do some back patting here. I hate Trump with all my being, but back in 2016 I wouldn't have confidently said he was a bad businessman. I wasn't impressed with him, but he had the appearance of someone who at least had some money. FH was right. It took a while before the rest of us got it that Trump is actually a horrible businessman.

This is why Trump chose his SCOTUS pick. She lets him check her pillows out.
