Hey Agip, Flagpole, others...Now that Trump has told us how he's going to steal the election, is there really anything we can do stop him?

Now would be a good time to ask Mexico to pony up.

So much losing.

vote in large numbers
Biden only needs one more EC vote than Trump. A 100 EC vote margin is not required. Something called the Constitution.

my favorite justification for the EC is that is does tend to bring all states into the game.
The US is a sort of continential empire...we're all one nation, but lordy we are diverse. NYCers have almost nothing to do with Wyoming people. Trying to hold a nation together with such diverse holdings...is very hard. The EC does, I think, help get that done.
Without the EC, I think the large population centers would run the country, and people in empty areas would lose contact with the nation. That can't be good or preferable.
I think the EC tears us apart. It pits red states against blue states.
The president should be the one office that we all vote on as a nation and everyone's vote counts the same.
Sparsely populated states already have tremendous power in the senate compared to the states with large population centers.
Trump's DOJ just labelled NYC an "anarchist jurisdiction". But it seems that NYC's anarchist's don't have time to riot, loot and pillage because they're getting ready for their book fair.
Here is something I haven't heard anyone talk about anywhere. Bill Barr is sort of right about mail-in ballots. But not the way most people think.
It would actually be pretty easy for Russia to screw up our election in November. Just send in millions of forged ballots. They don't have to be great forgeries. They don't have to be good enough to get counted. For instance, just the fact that Pennsylvania has to process an extra 10 million paper ballots would be enough to create the chaos that president antichrist is looking for.
It's sort of a denial-of-service attack using paper. It would slow down the mail and slow down the counting. I wonder if that's the plan.

The fundamental problem here is that the presidential election is run differently in each state. If I'm the GOP, I'd come up a different set of rules that would effectively invalidate more Dem votes than R votes... oh wait!
It needs to be a federally run system, with unbiased funding and governance, and needs to be simple, easy and apply the same exact rules to everyone. This whole decentralization argument to prevent tyranny is clearly not working... esp when you consider that here we are with a tyrant leader supported by the party who makes the biggest fuss about fed government intrusion. It should be the Disunited States of America.
eh.....I dunno. One thing that makes the presidential election virtually impossible to hack or disrupt is that it is 50 different elections, each with different systems and rules. That makes it very hard to mess with.
Not sure how that adds up. The EC puts a spotlight on a very small number of states that matter. Messing with two or three key states seems a whole lot easier than messing with the entire nation's election process.

Unfortunately 1101 is right.
Trump tells us he will not leave peacefully. to clarify Trump's position, his people say he will leave a fair election peacefully. But Trump has stated the election is not fair.
Trump will NEVER admit to losing this election but will claims it's been stolen from him. 50% of his trump cult will believe him and be extremely angry. Trump will leave a country pumped up with hate. That will be his legacy.

The EC may be deemed Undemocratic, but US Senate situation is much worse ! Most of our citizens do not realize that only 18 percent of our population controls 52 SENATE seats ! So..in theory they could ram a First year law student on to the Supreme Court. The EC was a mistake by our Fore Father's; but giving each state 2 Senators is a larger one! We could have a criminal as President and not be able to get a Senate conviction. Sound familiar ?!?
Word... I guess this wasn’t gonna end well from the start

Good point. But I read somewhere that something like 1/4 of votes are typically currently mailed in, that’s before COVID. So why not screw with it back then? Oh, maybe because past presidents would actually do something about it? Earlier this year I thought it would be a good time to work on electronic voting, with some strict multi-layered verification process. But if course this is America and it’s under trump.
If Biden wins: It's highly likely that he will win. And, when that happens, I do not anticipate any protests and riots, like my fellow Democrats or to be more specific LIBERALS.
If Trump wins; Wow! More female college students crying on the campus sidewalks. More riots. More liberals damaging public and private property.
I am a Democrat. I voted for Hillary. Well, not FOR her, but against Trump. I really don't like her, at all! But, lately, I have been embarrassed being associated with these crybabies. Whining and complaining. Boo friggin hoo! so he's a jerk. A misogynist. A hypocrite.
I mean, Grover Cleveland got a girl pregnant while running for President ( he was married), and the girl suddenly disappeared. Only to be found years later in an insane asylum. She was put there by Cleveland's security.
JFK was screwing hookers in the WH...while his wife was down the hall, giving tours!!!
Make me proud to be a Democrat again.
Grow up
