It’s more of a rage intensity factor. The more rage, the more weight behind their opinion. Also, the more weight they have also puts more weight behind their opinion

We want less deception and more answers.
Do wonder if they'll treat it like Choigate and make a statement that's pretty weak on substance and then refuse to engage any further despite loads of questions still unanswered. Potentially a good pr strategy when you know you're in the wrong - make a statement that doesn't really admit fault or fight back then refuse to be drawn in any more.
Already have the weak statement from the other day where he says he was very fit in 2020 and nothing more than that - not being drawn into the legitimacy of the gps or the viability of claiming it as a pb.
I can see them hoping that by not engaging further eventually it goes away - like Josh jogs tbf, the general community doesn't really remember what he did and it doesn't seem to have impacted on his influencer viability
Highly recommend giving Tommy Lewis/tommyrunpt a follow. Genuinely a good guy and great for the sport. More of a trail running focus but his intentions are good and his values are in check. I won’t say much more as I’ll let you make your own judgement but take a look. Has a solid podcast too. Not to worry, like Goddard d*ck riding the likes of Bester, Davies and Culling

What you have to remember is that the women posting there are basically femcels.
There’s a reason why they disproportionately target skinny attractive women, and also why the influencers they like are either not conventionally attractive or present themselves in a kind of androgynous manner.
What makes it even funnier is they’ll try to maintain some facade about how, no, they actually hate this influencer or that influencer because they haven’t spoken out about ice raids or drumpf or whatever and then two posts down they’ll be seething about how they posted a story where you could see their abs or a thigh gap lol.
They also have some bizzare obsession with influencers not “hydrating” properly, I remember having a look once and they were freaking out that some influencer had done a 10 mile run and didn’t take heckin’ water, as if just having a glass before you go out the door isn’t sufficient (though maybe it isn’t if you’re slow and obese like most of the posters over there are).
This thread can get a big nasty sometimes but more in a light hearted taking the piss at influencers being moronic way (FENTON!!!!!) rather than from any place of actual hatred.

That said, some influencers are rightfully called out for flexing how they do long runs without calories or water. People like Elizabeth clor and fit bit Makayla repeatedly post about doing two hours runs with no water or calories. Yes, I do this sometimes but I know I am being dumb and lazy... I don't turn around and brag about it on social media.
Thirty years ago we all did our two hour runs without water or calories. We also did marathons with either just water or (if lucky) water and Gatorade.

Will post about random nobodies within a few hours but has taken months to not mention one of the most egregious examples and uses of strava time as a pb going.
'Hi Ben we notice your claimed pb of 2:34 is from a run on an unmeasured course; the fastest verified marathon you've run is 2:48 in Paris.' All completely true, in line with the other posts the page makes - they can copy and paste their standard stuff about gps trace inaccuracies if they want. Happy to waive my writers' fee for that one OMTIU.
Not just thirty years ago. Also a few days ago. You don’t NEED to eat carbs and/or drink electrolytes before all runs. It depends on the run of course and your body getting used to it but who has time to eat and sit around for an hour for an easy up to 90 minute run first thing in the morning. And let’s not even get started on a skin routine.
Spending lockdown between there and the £9m family home backing on to Sheen / Richmond Park must have been tough - is he the least relatable / likeable influencer we have?

Well yeh his dad Adam started and ran a fund called Majedie managing assets of c.£10bn, so no wonder that;
1. He could financially take the risk to pursue his passion and begin a start up,
2. He had the connections to raise significant Seed and venture funding within 2-3 years.
3. He has multiple properties to film his lockdown workouts
Anyway, he had a leg up but he's played his cards well, despite shambolic knowledge of the sport & some spurious PB claims, he cashed out nicely to Strava. I can't see Runna lasting long-term, the bubble will burst.
Other co-founder Dom does seem like a more genuine bloke.
This is elite level snooping - retract all previous comments on Fenton being the Nepo baby of the influencer world - his Pro Direct uncle is a small fish compared to our asset rich prince!

That podcast interview with Jamie Laing where he talks about his parents cutting his allowance when he wanted to be a PT so he can "get used to being poor" is just like someone turned the woman from Common People into a real human. I never expected to see the words "Nick Bester" and "authentic" in the same sentence. If ever anyone ever had a persona it's him.
As I've said before here, I respect his achievement in getting his times where they are in his mid-30s and at his size and weight, and you can't knock his business skills, but he just doesn't come over as genuine in the way that Cole and RTJ do (you could say that RTJ has a persona - the Marathon Monk - but it's all good humored and tongue in cheek).
