Hi Robbie, I think most of the trolls here already know or now realize that some of the posters at URC have helped in catching cheaters in past threads and have also posted here before. I think both LRC and URC generally try to work together to catch the cheaters (user bans from URC not withstanding).
I realize that some people over on URC are friends with Mimi while most of us on LRC are not associated with either Mimi or Sandra Vi. I think this means that in general, LRC is providing a much more neutral view of the situation given all the abnormal activity and things I have pointed out.
The trolls also gave Sandra Vi the same treatment of doubt initially due to some communications but I was able to show the trolls that it was just a matter of Sandra's daughter not having enough knowledge to answer the questions and taking offense. I have and am communicating with Sandra's side by email and everything question I've had they've been able to answer with logical support.
Initially, I had posted many times that I think both Sandra's and Mimi's attempts are legit after the first go around with Sandra. But now I had to change my mind on Mimi purely based upon the numerous suspicious activities that we don't get a logical explanation for that matches up with our knowledge that there is in fact cell coverage where they are and why so many delays in uploading data. And I am also not satisfied with not having a real explanation from Mimi in regards to Ben Rogers.
I think we will need to let this situation play out, see where it leads to, and actually get a word from Mimi herself. I am sure the trolls will keep a close eye on the data and maybe someone will go out to take some video. I'm on the fence for which way this will go.

Yes I am sure a hacker could do something but if you think someone on that team is a great hacker then I am pretty sure they would have been smart enough to ensure the tracker was working properly.
All the data looks good just a poor tracking system and possibly a few mistake and forgetfulness to charge it up when they should.
Remember when Rob you did it the complaint was no dat at all and trackers that was claiming silly distances and routes and pace etc.
Not seen any of that here.
I am sure suunto who provided all 4 devices to her will be able to verify the data.
Hi Lindley, I think you've missed what we posted a couple pages back. It's actually very easy to modify Suunto/Movescount data, no hacker required. Can you post what I wrote below to the URC thread?

Actually, no, spoofing Suunto/Movescount data is way easier than I thought. No need for a hired programmer. As the poster above showed, OpenAmbit already allows you to edit the Suunto/Movescount data.
And I found people talking online about simply syncing the Suunto watch to their laptop and editing the data before uploading to Movescount. And the watch data just gets stored as plain XML so not much different from spoofing Strava data. There is essentially zero security on Suunto watches.

As far as I know and I'll stand to be corrected she's only deviated due to road closures and I believe some flooding yesterday. And then it was onto a parallel road.
I don't know the area like you guys but I'm told there aren't a great many options to take out there?

^^^WOW! Your suspicions were correct then. Unfortunately, the files could be pre-spoofed, but she likely doesn't have someone on board the RV to do that. However, if she waits to upload (like yesterday) then some accomplice offsite has time to review and clean the files before uploading. This is all the more reason that all Strava data should be uploaded immediately after Mimi stops running!

Fellow trolls and URC posters, might I offer an amicable solution to this situation where the trust has been broken and we can no longer use the GPS data as primary proof. How about if Mimi's team agrees to capture non-stop video of Mimi running every day for the duration of the attempt where we require Mimi to be clearly visible in the videos along with road markings and signage? I think this will give the other side a chance to prove their innocence (if they are) while we would get tremendous proof of cheating if Mimi cannot maintain her current performance level or disagrees.
Gary, here's a little bit of advice for you old son, don't worry about the name/handle attached to a post, just worry about the content.
In my experience having a readily identifiable name/handle doesn't make any difference to a posts credibility, especially the one's that where they identify themselves and their achievements and then go on to say they know Mimi and what a great person she is so who needs legit hard evidence, etc similar to Sandra, Pete, etc.

This is one of the major issues at fault, and its been repeated here and on URC: that she has done her utmost to prove the effort. She also said repeatedly in interviews that she was going to do her utmost to prove credibility. Well the MAJOR problem here is that no, in no way, has she followed through with doing that! Even cell tower triangulation, properly done, could likely have done much better than what her chosen solution is providing. If you don't believe me, I can show you screen shots taken this morning where Mimi was supposedly running 14MPH according to her tracker! Now most unfortunately, only after prodding here and on URC is when we find out that the tracking company, per his URC posts, DID alert the Mimi team along time ago that his tracking device was, basically, not accurate for anything more than gross position location. He said that he told them to post that fact. But it wasn't until further prodding by him in the last couple of days that the Mimi website now admits the realtime tracking is inaccurate.
As explained before, any realtime tracking device (whether it's the RaceDrone Mimi apparently is using, or the Garmin Delorme from Sandra, or a SPOT device) is useless for speed calculations, because it doesn't take enough satellite positions (typically only once every couple minutes). That's where the GPS watches are for, because they take satellite positions every second typically.
The tracker mimi is using is not using cell tower triangulation, but uses satellites, just as the Garmin Delorme that Sandra is using. The only difference is that the Garmin Delorme also submits these locations via satellite, while the RaceDrone tracker is using mobile network to submit the locations. So in terms of location accuracy, they are both equal.
Sandy's Strava photos are spot on. I looked at several and used Google street view to check if the scene matched. Indeed they do. Sandy has posted photos like this (matched on her Strava map) since day 1.
Mimi needs to clean up her act and post photos on Strava, with locations on her route for people to do a similar comparison. Mimi has not post a single such photo through her 20 runs so far.

Frightened? Quite honestly, I'm amazed at what is being claimed here. Her Strava data says she is pumping out close to 11 MPH cadence a lot of times. I find it amazing particularly when coupled with heat, altitude, age, past injury, etc.
