That's not what the number show. His Rose City effort was speed rated at 180, and while that was much better than his 171 at Cool Breeze and his 172 at Woodbridge, and he was well behind Ortiz in both of those. I could see moving him to a tier that included Lomeli and Hunter.
ML King has 3 pretty good male transfers. Only problem is that 1 of them is going to run against girls. This is an absolute travesty to girls sports, which should be protected beyond the limits of any political agenda.
Where are all the California ‘25 boys going to college? I may have missed it but haven't seen many for boys but lots for CA girls. Also have Cal Poly, UCLA, Cal had any commits? Selma like they usually have had a few announcements by now.
I do not know if the thread has mentioned this but looking at a dye stat article from the other day I just think it is crazy that the California State Meet is the last state meet to take place in the nation. Most states are the first week of November while the closest date to California is Florida on Nov 16th. For the Southern Section in particular it is a crazy stretch of racing and to me a reason why NXN (excluding NP teams) has been a challenge for teams. Individuals have done great but it is just something I have always noticed that it is hard for California teams to peak for NXN then I think anyone else in the country. I just think for example Dana and San Clemente last year who had historic success at Woodward just did not really translate over as well to NXN. Call it bad weather but I think it is the stretch of running Mt. Sac 2 times in a row and then all out the week before NXN that might be hindering crazy performances from teams. Just a take but I think California is at a disadvantage scheduling wise. Maybe good Noonan has been taking a racing break and really just be as fresh as possible for the month of November.

Newbury Park won NXN in awful weather, a complete downpour. California had a 5 year streak of XC national champions a few years ago. I don't really accept any arguments that CA is at a disadvantage because of that.
