And floberg is continuing to burn himself out with a ridiculous training block. But don't worry guys, he released a video today saying that it doesn't matter!
What's ridiculous about his training? His mileage is in the 70's with one workout per week. Dude is trying to run low 2:30's, if anything he's been a bit delusional to think he'll continue to see improvements without significantly increasing his training.
interestingly your drop-off in interest in his videos may have coincided with when his channel changed to being edited by Philly Bowden's boyfriend....
Daniel also edits Kofuzi's videos!
That's funny if it lines up like that. I do remember thinking in one of the last videos I watched from him a bit ago that the editing felt different. It's also still weird to me that these people outsource their editing to someone else. That's probably one of the only skills these shoetubers have that translates outside of the social media world but they are happy to dump off the tedious work to someone else.
I’m not following many of these Running YouTubers. Occasionally will watch TAS, AllieO, and rarely SJD. There’s way too much unoriginal content on YouTube. Less time watching YouTube is recommended for good mental health. 95% of YouTubers will Jump The Shark after a short time investing all their time and effort trying to make content meant to make them money.
I follow sports YT creators like UrinatingTree, FivePointsVids, and Chiseled Adonis. I'm impressed at how long they've been able to do this as their full time career (though Adonis admittedly lives with his folks, the others are on their own) and still continue pumping out consistent, decent content without quitting on it, getting gimmicky, or appearing seriously burned out. I do agree with you: By and large very few people can do this as their full time thing for very long without losing a lot of quality, or their minds.
Every time Matt Fox and Nick Bester put together another sub 2:20 attempt I can’t help but watch with keen interest.
Matt Fox lost nearly 10lb in 2 months and looks to be quite fit. Nick Bester ran a bad half marathon last week but just hit a solid 3 x 10km session that easily indicates sub 2:20.
Unfortunately for them, each will get into his own head and run 2:2x for the umpteenth time. It’s a curse.

1) Matt lost the 10lbs by cutting out carbs except for the night before a session. I wonder how sustainable that is for an impending marathon attempt? Luckily he wont need any glycogen for that right?
2) Nick's 10K's were: slower than Marathon pace/slower than Marathon pace/at Marathon pace. Imo I'd say actually it's not very indicative of anything fitness-wise

When I ran 2:18 none of my sessions were as impressive as Nick’s 3x10k
On this week's podcast the Believe in the Run crew seemed to suttlely shout out this thread when they described Thomas hurting his back by missing the bottom step on a flight of stairs as " Thomas trials and tribulations." Meghan and maybe Robbie are running a 12 miles tomorrow.

Has anyone ever gotten through an entire podcast of theirs?
Would you kindly provide your insightful critique of the latest vlog from SJD shot on location in Italy. Perhaps, using Federico Fellini as your source for analysis of Seth’s journey up a mountain. Any commentary on Seth’s bohemian appearance and brotherly rivalry would be appreciated.

Too. Many. Podcasts.
Too much word salad more like it. I remember when Floberg was on their podcast and he said the Believe in the Run podcast was the only one he listened to... Lolololol. Yeah. Ok.

poor Thomas :(
hopefully he’ll recover quick and get back to banging out 5 hour ‘thons with the help of his pro coach and $500 shoes, while speed shaming people who are faster than him, soon!
Clayton Young - Paris series continues, amusing seeing him and Mantz run around Saint Moritz in full body heat-suits, getting weird looks from locals. Next video should be the race itself, dragging this out a little now but good quality nonetheless.
I've really enjoyed this series. As someone with no prior US marathoner knowledge it got me totally invested in them for the Olympics and was cheering for them along with the Brits. I also like that it all seems pretty authentic and they're just nice, decent, hard training guys. No drama, no stupid face thumbnails, no hyping stuff up etc. Training with Connor does seem like it could be a PITA though, always going faster than the specified rep paces :-D
