Coachiing young guys on how to win football games, no problems of any kind,
You have no experience being a manager, which is one of the primary jobs of an NFL coach. You've done such a poor job of managing your own life you still haven't paid off your house at the age of 75.
What can a coach tell me about football I don't already know? First off none of them have seen more football than I have.
So tell me what can any coach tell me I don't know, well?
These guys are into the game that week, I am into all 32 teams, the Big10, ACC, MAC, SWAC, MEAC, Big12, SEC, and have been for years. I would school these coachs

Cool the BS guy, I rarely make a mistake so cool the crappola,
You make mistakes all the time. Recently, I had to correct the mistakes in your Army/Navy thread and the mistakes in the one about Michigan University football in the 1900's.
You're wrong so often that the accuracy of your posts can't be trusted.

You said you would be a better NFL coach than Sean Payton, yet you don't even know the duties of an NFL coach.
In your warped mind, Andy Reid must have known more about HBCU players in the 1950's than Kyle Shanahan, which is why the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.

I have posted TONS of stuff, and all you have is that, see what I mean?
I only talk about things I know about, Rarely make a mistake.

Those were just recent ones I remembered. Luckily for you, hardly anyone reads the inaccurate BS you post, so it's kind of like a tree falling in the woods.

Oh really guy, how is this 53 page thread doing?
Want me to bump up all those 20 page and more threads?
Jameis Winston is a gunslinger. High risk, high reward. He was in full form last night. Killed the zone, got killed by the zone. 497 yards, four TDs. Three picks (2 for TDs) and 171 return yards. Dude almost never checks down. He is always eyeing the big pass. Reminds me of Brett Favre.

Bo Nix is going to the playoffs. Broncos were ranked 31st in the early season power rankings with their young roster, bad salary cap situation, rookie QB, etc. Pretty incredible to break the playoff drought with that situation. It helped to be facing the NFC South, but we also faced a fairly strong NFC North.

Indeed, upgrading from Russell Wilson to the rookie Bo Nix resulted in the Broncos finally getting back to the playoffs. With the weight of the Broncos' postseason hopes on his shoulders going into this weekend, Nix delivered in a big way. He completed his first 18 passes and finished the game with more touchdowns (4) than incomplete passes (only 3). A sublime performance. Denver has to be feeling good about their future now that they have Nix as their QB instead of Wilson.
On the same weekend that Nix was shining, Wilson struggled. He threw for only 148 yards against one of the worst defenses of the league, and he looked like a rookie as he bungled the 2-minute drill at the end of the game. After succeeding on a 3rd down conversion, the Steelers had 1st and 10 at their 42, with only 46 seconds remaining and just 1 timeout left. Wilson looked to throw but couldn't find an opening to his liking, but instead of throwing the ball away to save precious time on the clock like a wise veteran QB should do, he decided to try to run the ball. He gained a measly 3 yards while draining 22 seconds from the clock. On the next play, he took a sack, which forced Pittsburgh to burn their final timeout. Then, on 3rd down, he misthrew an open receiver. His final incompletion on 4th down was a pass that should have been caught, but the team wouldn't have been in that desperate situation if he had properly managed the 2-minute drill. The look of disappointment on the face of Steelers coach Mike Tomlin reminded me of the disappointed looks that Broncos coach Sean Payton had last year while watching Wilson mess things up.

GO BRONCOS!!!
Wilson is not awful. He is fairly efficient and a decent QB at this stage in his career. When he was younger, he was a real difference maker. At this point he is a game manager. Russell’s biggest issue at this stage is his height. Because he is short by NFL standards, he has a hard time operating in the pocket. When he was younger / faster he could escape and defenses had to give him a wider berth. He will likely be in the Hall of Fame. I can remember a number of games where he single handedly owned games. Nix has had an exceptional rookie season (especially given the lack of cap space the Broncos are operating with due to the Wilson contract). I’m sorry we weren’t quite able to get there with Russ, but excited for the future with Nix.
Comparing Nix rookie season vs Wilson's it's all Wilson, a pro bowl season. The next season he wins the SB.
Last season Wilson had a 66.4 comp%, Nix this season 66.3, Wilson with a 26/8 TD/INT, Nix 29/12, Wilson with a 98 passer rating nix 93,3.
Looking at Wilsons career numbers they are on par with all the greats, right up there with the ultimate elite, Wilson the only QB with over 5000 rushing yards and over 46.000 passing yards. He is only behind Rodgers in TD/INT ratio. His career passer rating top 4 all time.
And the guy has never had a Hall of Fame caliber TE/WR.

From the Broncos’ perspective, the relevant comparison wasn’t Nix to Wilson as a rookie. It was comparing Nix to Wilson now and in the next few years. They decided they were better off with a rookie like Nix than Wilson. So far they are correct.
