I doubt that someone who doesn't even know why the US went to Syria qualifies to judge my statements.
Fact is, Western media doesn't report on Ukrainian army killing Ukrainian civilians. And even casualties in Poland were reported as "probably" killed by Ukrainian missiles only after Russia was publicly blamed for it initially. Zelensky still doesn't claim it.

Giving the Russian people and Russian troops a reason to support the war seems like a terrible idea.
Ukraine can't even expel Russian troops who have absolutely no desire to fight Ukraine.
Attacking Russian civilian targets would be a terrible idea.
The reality however is that a lot the strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure of the past two months have been air launched cruise missiles coming from western Russia air bases. Ukraine, quite literally, is being fired upon from Russian territory. Making it more difficult to stage such strikes by striking air bases and their weapons depots is military tactics 101 and the only surprising thing is that the western powers resisted this as long as they did.
Unless one believes Ukraine has no right to defend itself.
