Trump is who he is, and everyone on the planet already knows it. This next debate is, in fact, entirely about her — her command of the facts, her demeanor under fire, and, maybe more than anything, her emotional security and tolerance for disagreement. Trump matters only as a blathering prop. It’s Harris, a much lesser-known quantity than Clinton or Biden, whom voters will be watching most closely.

If I were Harris, I wouldn’t waste time provoking Trump, which gets you nothing but another round of outrageous sound bites and self-righteous recrimination. I’d put all my energy, instead, into embodying generational change and the modern American story, as she did so ably at the convention. Talk about your mixed race, your mother, your hope for all of our daughters. When Trump blusters, brush him off gently like a cranky old neighbor who has forgotten to take his pills.

Nothing says, I am Woman Hear Me Roar like having to take your emotional support tampon to your first actual interview.

This is beautiful... instead of finally concentrating on stopping Harris, the Trump clown show is on its way to yet another wasted week. So far it's been all about RFK staying on ballots, RFK possibly replacing Vance, more childless lady comments from JV, and this royal mess with Trump's cemetery photo op.

One thing she should do, although I'm not sure she's smart enough to pull it off, is bait/troll Trump about the Fake Electors and Stolen documents cases. Just throw out some undisputed facts and see if he'll say something stupid or incriminating. Obviously, there's a good chance he will. I think we can all see "You're goddam right I ordered the Code Red!" out of this eggnecked ego-driven psycho. Even getting him to say he actually believes the Vice President does have power to determine which electors to count would be memorable moment. I'd absolutely toss that at him -- "I'm vice president, am I allowed to tell Americans which of their votes counted next January? That's a Yes or No question, Donald. You can't plead the Fifth at a debate." What's he going to say? Any answer is terrible for him.

She should stay away from anything to do with race completely, including her own. And be ready to respond (somehow) to any questions about BLM riots and looting. The response should be in the form of an artful deflection and change of subject. BLM and the border are the two things that harm Harris' election chances.

At first, I thought, "That's a really good point." Sounds right, sounds good.

Then after a few seconds, I thought, "Remember, these are humans. American humans, no less."

And unfortunately, I can imagine a lot of the (moronic) "undecided voters" thinking that how well one spars with the as**** 8th grader is a good metric for selecting a POTUS.

But perhaps she can manage to do both. Look good herself, and still slam him in the b*** a few times, too (he does make that pretty easy).

REALLY amazing how this guy that most of the Trumpers occasionally admit is really flawed is ALWAYS getting terribly corrupt DAs, juries, and judges involved in his cases. What a f***** huge coincidence. Just plain old bad luck for Trump, I guess. Poor guy.

Fortunately, he can console himself with the fact that wanna be real men (see above) all over the U.S. are dying to s*** his orange d***.

Unfortunately, our current SCOTUS would have decided that Colonel Jessup (sp?) did NOTHING wrong, or that we can't punish him because of his position. Fiery admissions are moot. End of story. Tom Cruise wouldn't be famous.
