FOD just jealous he didn't get a full blown sponsorship like Bester with Adidas.
Getting on the Chinese shoe market under the guise of trying to be hip and cool like sirpoc. Just like following that garbage NSM training and getting worse.
I don’t know nothing about business so am genuinely interested to understand how Runna has actually made any money. Someone who seemed well placed to know, told me they got shares in Strava rather than a huge sum (or perhaps some shares and some cash?) - - but they’ve had literally millions ploughed into them. These investors want return, right?
And I mean Strava too right? I know they are preparing to go public but haven’t they like only just started actually breaking even quite recently, if at all?
Basically isn’t it all like a modern dot com bubble that’s going to burst? Runna seem to have a lot of people signing up, sure, but by they are likely to do it for like a limited time?
* like I say I know less than nothing about this stuff so please feel free to educate me

People were probably offered either.
All I can guarantee is Steph invested 10k early doors and recently exited with 300k,and that is from someone who she would have shared this info with and wouldn't have need to exaggerate to.
I’m glad I saw this cause skipped it earlier assuming it would be more of the same defending them I’ve seen all week. A note though- Hugo fry commenting defending Mary mc Carthy and reposting memes about her “fracture gate” then has the audacity to comment on this video as if pro this too. Man grow a spine, you can’t kiss everyone ass if they’re contradicting each other.
Yes, I notices that too. And now I've been recommended at least another two runfluenzas posts saying pretty much the same things as Holly posted, and one of them being the Culling!
After liking Holly's post, my social media is now embroiled in "fracture gate" as well. I didn't know who Mary McCarthy was more than a week ago but now I have so many reels detailing her cross-training and calling out other influencers associated with Runna.
As much as I love watching the runfluencer drama and perusing this thread to laugh at it all, I am now reminded just how over my head it can get. There are just too many people involved to keep it all straight! It also doesn't help that everyone has the same few names. Like seriously, how many different Bens are mentioned on this thread? One thing I'll give to Kofuzi and Truett Hanes is at least I know who they are and can easily distinguish posts about them on this thread. I need to stick to my lane and not branch out into this wider world of runfluencers because it just becomes garbled gibberish about people I have no clue about. As much as I'd love to know about iRace26.2 calling out Cole_has_the_runs on the latest edition of the Besties Who Run podcast... I just can't do it I'm afraid
Floberg proving once again why he's one of the most frustrating runtubers out there in his latest vid.
Runs a half in below average conditions to be fair, but fails to properly acknowledge the tailwind for the first half and goes out at pb pace because for some reason he thinks not only is he in pb shape, but the snowy course and wind is the perfect day to try it.
Blows up into the wind on the way back and runs 77mins (we've all been there, no hate on that).
But then proceeds to claim that's a low 73 effort on a good day and he's back in pb shape.
Based off of what exactly Eric? What exactly in your training has indicated that you're in half marathon pb shape? Your treadmill mile?
The guy has no clue about what actually shape he's in, ever. He ALWAYS overestimates his fitness and NEVER learns any lessons.
I am so jealous, I'm not big enough yet and at nearly 40, I fear I will never be! I need to work on my short form content game and keep grinding on social media! Totally agree NSM is terrible, fully converted now to EIM now, watch this space... but dont throw shade on chinese shoes please... show some respect
In other news... reading some of the other comments... I will refrain from naming brands... I have however bought the BMAI and Saucony with my own money, as with all the Li-Nings and most other shoes last year. I mentioned it in the video but I am not adverse to brands sending stuff, thats par for the course, its how you then review those shoes that matters.
People clearly notice if your demeanour changes from a shoe you buy yourself to a shoe a brand has sent to you if that brand review is uber positive. You've got to stay straight down the line or you aren't doing your audience any favours and eventually it catches up with you

FOD why the switch to EIM from NSM? Apologies if explained in a video (if you did, please post a link to the video that details the reasoning)

I think you need to trade-in your sarcasm detector, my man, because it aint workin'.
Never one to miss a trick, Bester is now jumping on the moon-boot bandwagon. If you ignore his nonsensical, boring drivel, Philly commented on his post and is effectively calling him out. This feels like a watershed moment amongst the shoe-tubers and it will be interesting to see where the chips lie
Nick Bester is really struggling at the moment, struggling to hit the paces in his training, great honest content, and relatable
His insistence that he was fine despite constantly telling us his metrics showed him in an absolute hole and he's been struggling with training pre and post Kenya seems silly now imo.
Fairly clear he's buried himself, with regular illness, struggles to train, and indicators that he's struggling from his recovery stats (however much you trust these or not they seem part of the picture). Another one to go and discuss with his coach to see if they can salvage the block with a few weeks left
I wonder if he's taking age into account. I think he's closing in on 36, and my experience at that age was that I couldn't maintain the frequency of hard training that I could four or five years earlier. He might be at the point where he needs to take that into account.

"It’s a weird dynamic as well - Phily and Holly have done training camps before (also with Anya), Anya and Mary are friends (but Anya is training a lot with Mary’s ex), Anya and Holly were really close for awhile but don’t seem to hang out as much anymore, so anything that gets said has the potential to be taken as a personal attack not a general comment."
It is hilarious that all the British women of social media are attacking each other and/or in bed together. And a lot of them are injured for doing dumb things. But it is A LOT to try to comprehend that comment.

Hilariously true. I also was mystified when I read this comment on blogsnark about fracture-gate:

Outside of all all this, Holly has a brief blink and you miss it cameo in Cole’s (really good) latest video.

I find it hilarious that all these middle of the pack no marks like Cole and Fenton hang out with each other and train like they're actually pros. It's quite sad that such, in "elite" circles anyway, sub standard athletes are making a living when some actual olympic medalists struggle .
I don't understand the fanboy antics towards Bester and Fenton particularly. They're sub standard and are beaten by 40 year olds with kids and real jobs who train for half the time. I just don't get why they absolutely loving themselves. Bester cant even win a parkrun . Theyre ok. they're mediocre .They're not amazing or even in the top 5% of runners who don't work.
That's great, actually. I mean that someone who really is a pro athlete actually benefitted from it. And someone who seems pretty decent human being if you can tell anything from social media which yeah, i know, you can't really. But doesn't post nonsense, just quietly cracks on is what i mean.
