Republicans try to stop Democrat agendas like expanding healthcare because if they pass, people will be happy and will want to keep voting Democrat.
But Republicans don’t often try hard to pass what they campaign on.
They never did repeal and replace Obamacare when they had all the power.
This time though, they have passed extensive abortion restrictions and bans in places like Texas.
And Texas is not deep red.
Will this keep their base happy and keep them coming out to vote, or will they lose tons of women voters and inspire more anti Republican voters next fall or in 2024?
Even with Trump’s loss, Republican candidates are getting more Trumpier, more far right and less centric.
