2018 College Track & Field Open Coaching Positions Discussion

Furman is not fully funded. Not sure how many they have, but I think it's only 6-7 on the men's side, although they put all of them in distances.

The position was advertised a few weeks ago, interviews have been conducted. Word on the street is that the job is going to either the current interim coach (former EWU athlete Aaron Brenton) or Southern Utah Assistant Paul Limpf (also a former EWU runner)

I imagine the position has been offered and the hr process and contract will take a month or so before a presser.

Heard from a few of the athletes that Limpf turned down the on-campus interview

The JMU job isn’t for a director, it’s the “Head Track coach”. They’re a women’s only program so they have three coaches and to make everyone feel good they’re all head coaches. They have a director, a head XC and a head track. Three different people.

**My mistake. Did digging on James Madison and yes it would be the Head XC Coach.

So is the JMU opening for the head track coach(throws) or head cross country? The boards have said both.

I believe JMU is for Head Track Coach, not Head XC Coach

Well, the Head Coach that was let go, was also the Throws Coach...
