OK. I think you have in mind instances of what I’d said would make the new report “plausible.” You’ll go a step further than I will at this point.
Add more if you want. I don’t need it. The guy’s a lowlife. I would’ve guessed that 20 or 30 years ago, too. I don’t see a lot of need to bring ostensibly new evidence to light to establish just how bad of a human being he is.
I say that in light of the topic of this thread. There could be a hypothetical situation in which he might be a great guy and we’d be astonished at any suggestion of sexual misconduct from him. Yet even under those high benefit-of-the-doubt circumstances, if even a portion of what’s alleged in the security documents indictment is true, he should face consequences under the law (which have involved jail time for similar offenses). On that, I agree with the numerous lifelong conservatives (among them, numerous people holding high positions in law, law enforcement, and the military) that the current charges are not politically motivated at their core, that they are necessary, and that the apparent evidence for them is overwhelming.
That’s what matters to me at the moment more than these other allegations of his moral turpitude.
I suppose, that is, unless you see this new report as evidence that he feels wholly unconstrained by any common moral boundaries … and you’re therefore looking to firm up a diagnosis of malignant narcissism (which would have numerous repercussions for how we view him), which I’m not equipped to do.
OK, where are the people who said that the government wants to delay the trial and that Trump wants to speed it up, avoid delays, because he'll "be found innocent!"
Yeah, as everyone with a brain predicted, he wants to delay it beyond the election.
I doubt the Trump-appointed judge will, but she should tell his lawyers, "The date was set for August. We can move it to December. Get your case ready for trial. The defendant's pursuit of a job is no reason for undue delay."
Jack Smith just sent 'target letter' to Trump. Indictment coming in the next few days for the election interference.
I don't know if it will be that quick. Maybe a few weeks to a month as he's been invited to the GJ first.
What will be most interesting to me is who else is indicted...both in the J6 case and Georgia election case. Mark Meadows has virtually disappeared from public view and comment since he testified and Rudy was apparently looking for some leniency last week. So they may have bargained their way out with some testimony against Trump and others.
Could be multiple big names indicted at the same time....yes you too Lady G.
for fake electors scheme, pressuring Mike Pence to commit crime,...
Yeah, but if he gets reelected, the "unitary executive" theory -- the crux of his new proposal, in start contrast to checks and balances -- will make this all a moot point.
Donald Trump is so corrupt and such an obvious criminal that his impending indictment for attempting to stop the peaceful transfer of power, starting an insurrection that resulted in deaths, arranging for fake electors, etc., gets a whopping seven posts in the several hours since the news broke.
So a few more of Trump's cultists have entered the "Find Out" stage of the proceedings? Good, good :)
Come on, man. They were just regular tourists walking around in a center of democracy on a historic day, hoping to observing proceedings and show support for one they admire, a process usually enhanced by having zip ties in your person. Like that woman in PA who was convicted today. Directing others to “take the building” is just Patriot talk for “assemble peaceably,” and if she broke any windows with a pipe on her way in, I admire her resolute True American pioneer unwillingness to wait in line like the sheep. You’re just jealous that you don’t know how to party like it’s 1776.
Yikes, more charges added. Now they have a detailed timeline which includes Trump asking his employee to delete video footage AFTER the FBI subpoena for the footage was given to him. #45 is in even more trouble now.

And there's no doubt that someone flipped and is going to testify, and apparently the footage shows these morons walking around and identifying which cameras are a concern.
Is there any way that a pool "accidentally" flooded into the server room?
Remember Trump going on and on about Hillary "wiping her server" and "acid washing her emails"?

Speaking of flipping, Trumpco fraudulent bookkeeper Alan Weisselberg has just pleaded guilty to perjury wrt his testimony in the NY fraud lawsuit. He must be making a deal to tell some truth, so he doesn't have to go back for more time in prison.
