So you agree that what the DOGE claimed and deleted was Fake News.
You're coming around.
The last thing I’m concerned about is DOGE, and what they are doing. I’m not an accountant and I don’t run the biggest companies in the World. I’m sure Elon is doing what he believes is best and that’s all we can ask for. It’s all we ever ask for and now we are finally getting the best. Need to give them time to restructure. Chips will fall.

They've been falling in the wrong place if you catch my drift. I'm all for soft power but I don't care for such a hard LGBQT+ mask of what the U.S. represents. I don't like Musk too much either, but I think he's the right type of guy to sift through all the data. And crazy enough to expose powerful, corrupt people. : )

Yeah, agreed, you don't seem like an accountant. No one here reads your posts and thinks "Oh, that guy must be an accountant." Personally, I've always pigeonholed you as a network marketer specializing in herbalism. That or maybe a choir director at a local Lutheran church. Maybe you do both. There's a lot of free time in those "careers" of yours.
If he's OK with his god telling him that Ukraine started the war, and that Zelensky is a dictator, and NEVER saying that Putin is a dictator.....we can't really have any hope that he'll quibble with a casualty total (no matter HOW far off it is).
Did Putin cancel elections? Outlaw several political parties? Close down several media outlets? Make certain religions illegal?
OK, I'm afraid that I gave you too much credit. There is NO equivalency between the behavior of R and D politicians in the Trump Era. Zilch.
And that is coming from a reasonably conservative middle-aged person who's default voting position was R prior to Trump.
At what's even worse is that this now applies to current and recent-past Republicans. There are NO Cheney's or Kinzinger's in the House. Not even a Romney in the Senate.
And if ole' JD was (or is) in a position like Pence was after the 2020 election, suppose he'd act in the same principled way? We have every reason to believe that the answer is "No."
Olden' days Republicans eventually stood up to Nixon. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that current D's would do the same to a D Nixon or Trump. But unfortunately, current Rs have removed all doubt about their character.
Integrity is something I value in my personal life, but not in politicians. It’s part of their job to lie and cheat. If Romney were 30 years younger and concerned about his political future, he’d be doing whatever he could to stay in Trump’s good graces.
If you want a measure of the scale of the transatlantic rift, consider this: I am told yesterday was the 1st time since 1945 the US voted with Russia & against Europe at the UN on an issue of European security. Just let that sink in

That’s a miserable way to live. Rethink it.
Honor matters. It always matters.

For the benefit of the studio audience, this assessment is coming from a person with the following traits:
A violence denier regarding January 6th
A vaccine skeptic (sorry about the measles in Texas?)
Recently had an LRC forums post deleted because of bigotry
To paraphrase your friend JohnSu2...
Be better, GOP.
The J6 violence came from the cops.
The jab is neither safe nor effective.
Typically on LRC bigotry means accurate criticism of Israel and The Lobby.
The J6 violence came from the cops. - The ones who were defending the congressional delegates in their own workplace? No, they were assaulted and their attackers were pardoned by Trump. Beyond inappropriate.
The jab is neither safe nor effective. - Where did you get your medical degree from?
Typically on LRC bigotry means accurate criticism of Israel and The Lobby. - That wasn't the case this time. He made a bigoted remark aimed at liberals.
Please avoid straining yourself too much with overreaching rationalization.
🚨 #BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Eric Swalwell PANICS when I ask about his Chinese spy girlfriend Fang Fang, and whether that’s a bigger “national security threat” than Elon Musk
I sat next to a drunk Swalwell at dinner for 90 minutes. He was IMMEDIATELY compromised by a group of… pic.twitter.com/DeZg3EJphW
Does anyone know what Russian asset and Trump stooge Paul Manafort is doing these days? In the fall there were reports that Trump brought him back into the fold in an unnamed capacity.
I am going to make a prediction that we will be hearing more about him in short order as Trump sells Ukraine down the river. Ukraine betrayal to Russia is his field of expertise.
He may be involved with the administration--as you say, particularly re Ukraine--but he's in his mid-70s (yes, younger than President Trump) and has had some fairly serious health conditions IIRC. Last time he was in the news he didn't look like a well man.
Trumper Question: Since you guys have now been told by Donny to pretend to feel really bad about the lives lost in Ukraine, are you EXTRA pissed that he lied to you and told you that he could easily end it on the first day with a single phone call?
Awe, poor baby. No, I'm not.
Were you EXTRA pissed with what Obama said he'd on Day 1 during his campaigning, then changed his tune the day he won? Or when Biden said the same things and then changed his tune the first day?
Liberal bias and cherry picking. Cry harder little ole' fella, cry harder.

What was the comment? I don't view it as 'bigoted' to say men can't get pregnant

That wasn't it, and inflammatory conjecture like that is probably counterproductive.
He used "the R-word" that has previously referred to certain types of handicapped people, emphasizing that it should now be utilized to label or liberals. Classy, to say the least.
Kind of a stretch to call a guy who's characterized "groceries" as an old-fashioned word (given that he's probably never shopped for them in his life) "a man of the people."
He actually has no interest in the rubes, except for--as others have observed--getting their votes, their money, and above all their attention.
