I wonder what happened with his search for a coach that he mentioned a while back, I think if he wants that 2:19:59 he needs to get some external guidance, rather than hope for better vibes and boomshakas from the same work as before and telling him that races like Manchester will not have huge 2:19 packs but that's a handful of runners competing for podium places and top 5s.

What do you mean Matt Fox was "on pace for a 1:09 half"? If he ran 13.00 miles on a measured loop course in under 1:08:25 total elapsed time , I'll accept that as a 1:09:00 HM equivalent.

If it's anything less than that, then don't call it a 1:09 half. Otherwise, I'm saying I was on pace for a 2:15 Marathon last Saturday when I ran a 15:5x 5k.
