The Broncos announced Monday that they have informed quarterback Russell Wilson he will be released after the 2024 league year begins next Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
Russell will be 34 in November. He is a diva. Russell relies much on his mobility. He is not the same QB he was and I agree he was great, certainly top 5 for a decade. Not anymore. Maybe he will have a a season or two of rejuvenation in Denver but after seeing the $ Kyler Murray got Russ will want more and it will likely not be a happy marriage when the honeymoon is over.
He will start this 2022 season with 292 TD passes, that puts him in 15th place on the all time list, he needs 9 more to pass John Elway into 13th place, obviously that will happen early. But he won't hit number 12 this season, at 12 is Matthew Stafford who will have his 30ish and ahead of him the great Fran Tarkenton with 342, hard to beleive this old timer is that high on the list.....still.
The AFC West is by far the best QB division in football with Patrick Mahomes, Wilson, Herbert and Carr, all can play.
Curious about how that altitude in Denver with effect Wilsons long ball which is the best in the game.
What people don't get about Wilson is his first 10 seasons of NFL footbal were the best we have ever seen from any QB ever. So many NFL records and firsts, we can start with most wins in that first 10 seasons for a QB.
Nobody compares as a runner/passer he is the ultimate there.

How in the hell does the Chiefs let Tyreek Hill go, what a stupid deal that was.
How will the humidity in Pittsburgh affect (yes, that's the right word) Wilson's long ball? How does his running and passing compare with Mahomes's? Isn't Lamar Jackson better than RW today?
How have the Chiefs suffered without Tyreek Hill? Looks like they knew what they were doing and made the right move.
Soon to be number 12 on the all time TD list. And will be moving into the top 15 in yards. Cat is an all time great, no doubt a future Hall of Famer.
Looked great tonight and sewed up the starting job, Need to try and shop Fields he has to go. I bet those Steeler receivers are thrilled, they now have somebody who can get them involved.
Take his 4000 yard seasons, his TD/INT ratio ,his rushing yards, his passer rating, pro bowls, his comp %., there is no QB who can match what he put up his first 13 years. Prove me wrong, ya can't do it.

The guy had great numbers in 2023, far beter than what Nix will have this season. Payton is simply crazy.
Did you watch the videos, hell yes this guy is great tt is why te Broncos paid him mow much? His numbs are among the best we have.
Only QB to rush fo over 5000 and pass for over 40,000 yards. He has three times more TD than INT'S his passer rating is third all time, No question he is an all time great.
Won more Superbowls than Hall of Famers Dan Marino, Warren Moon, Jim Kelly, Fran Tarkenton, Dan Fouts combined.

Only rookies go with one season, ya look at the body of work over a career.
Look a his comp%, look at his rushing yards, look at his 4th quarter comebacks, look at his TD/INT ratio. He is among the ultimate elite if ya understand the game,
Let’s start by talking about Wilson because he was terrific tonight. After a shaky start that included three three-and-outs in the teams first four drives, Wilson led Pittsburgh to 31 unanswered points, and looked like vintage Russ in the process. He went 16-of-29 for 264 yards, which is the most by a Steelers quarterback in their debut in team history. He also threw two touchdowns. The first of which capped off a drive that was set up by the first of two Beanie Bishop interceptions where Wilson hit George Pickens on a one-on-one fade in the back of the end zone to give No. 14 his first score of the year. The second was to Van Jefferson to give the Steelers a 15-point lead and got them their second straight 30-point game. On the night, Wilson had seven completions of 15 or more yards and finished with an EPA per play of 0.32. For comparison, the league leader in EPA per play is Jayden Daniels, who has an EPA pf 0.21. I was very outspoken about being against the quarterback change - I’ll eat my crow and give my flowers to Russell Wilson and Mike Tomlin in a tremendous performance.

That's a contradictory statement. You don't understand the game so how could he be among the elite?
