He shut her down twice at the end of today's vlog. Why does he think this is normal to put on YouTube? Absolute wierdo!!
I hate that this thread will sometimes suck me in to watching his truly terrible videos.
I guess I'm the only one where the thing that stuck out the most for me was that he has a massage table - which you would only have for someone to give you a massage - and so the only logical conclusion is that he bought himself a massage table for his wife to give him massages. Wow. I guess on top of childcare, her other job is massage therapist to Seth. You have to love the traditional Catholic "values" going on there - "wives obey your husbands as you obey the Lord. The husband is the head of the wife... ".
it goes deeper.. there's a continuity issue - in the vlog he mentioned he just got up from sleeping on the massage table - but the sports physio/masseuse had just been over?
so either he fell asleep mid-massage and she had to awkwardly leave herself, or he climbed back onto the massage table for no reason after letting her out, to then fall asleep again face-down.
both are weird AND not to mention he then had to climb back on the table AGAIN after setting up the camera to get the quick clip of him laying back down on it just after the intro
If i could request a vlog, I want a vlog of him setting up the vlog so we can see all the weird steps he has to go through to put his camera in the mailbox before opening it, running away from the camera to run past it again, putting the camera in the kitchen to film him walking out of the bedroom at 4am. the mind boggles.
I am still amazed how he is able to support his family than I am with his training and shoe reviews. If he did a VLOG on how much money he is earning and where it comes from, the ratings will go through the roof. He will probably get like 30k-40k views. Just think about all the stuff he has to pay for:
1. Mortgage on a million-dollar home
2. Property taxes yearly
3. Health Insurance for 7 people
4. Car Insurance
5. Car Payment(s)
6. Car Maintenace (insurance, new tires...and yearly registrations fees).
13. Money to go out to eat and going to coffee shops
14. Kids Expenses (clothes, toys, school supplies...)
15. Runnings Expenses (registrations fees, transportation cost, hotel cost...)
16. Utilities
.
.

The list goes on and on. I think Seth should be a financial planner--How to afford all this stuff on ONE salary. My God!! How does he do it???? If anyone can figure it out, they deserve the Nobel Prize in Economics.
He did an earnings blog. However he revealed absolutely nothing besides the measly amounts he gets at races a couple times a year. Those earnings don't cover even the plane tickets. When people tried to press him for youtube earnings, his rapid DGR cult jumped in and defended him like crazy. I agree that something changed. He went from having struggling to seeming like he is crushing it. Maybe he finally got the check for that bible story thing?
Also, The conversation of his massage session with his wife was kinda wierd.
The conversation sounded like Seth was trying to convince himself that his injury isn’t serious. The urgent care likely just sent him away because non acute sports injuries isn’t the purpose of them, but Seth took it to mean that his injury isn’t serious. In reality the urgent care probably doesn’t know what’s wrong and doesn’t care to spend the time to figure it out because they are probably lacking staff and resources. His massage session that unveiled a “knot” got Seth visibly excited because he thinks his injury is just from a tight muscle. The dude literally can’t walk anymore without a limp. Sure maybe there was a muscle knot, but more than likely the injury is not just a tight muscle. He seemed to glow with joy at this potential revelation. His symptoms really seem like a sacral stress fracture
We talk about adding too much volume such as mileage, time on feet, and elevation to your training thinking how you will benefit from it but does more harm t...
I speculate that he suddenly came into some money between October 2020 and February 2021. That coincides with an emotional vlog that he can now take care of his family without doing odd jobs, he bought a bunch of new video/editing gear, he massively upgraded his lifestyle, and his persona changed.
I recall that video and remember him saying all of "this" wouldn't have been possible without the DGR family, implying it was the success of the vlog that allowed him to improve his family's lifestyle. He continued to credit the DGR fam when they were in the process of buying the new house as well.
The earlier post on all of the stuff he has to pay for... these are the types of financial questions that pop into my mind when I watch his videos... healthcare for a family of seven without any employer subsidies... how much does that cost? How did he qualify for a mortgage based solely on what has to be a very tenuous source of income (YouTube adsense revenue and miscellaneous merch sales)? With seven kids, surely he needs to think about putting some money away for college (or maybe he's purposely not thinking about it).
I can't see him or anyone else living the way he does without another source of income. I know some folks have speculated that he sold his Billion Stories business to the church or Catholic TV, but that couldn't have been much of a payday... it seems just like a series of crowd sourced videos.
It is all fake! A very poorly produced and semi-scripted reality show. Funny that there are always perfect camera angles of mundane things like waking up, naps, getting eggs out of the refrigerator, and the like. Who falls asleep while getting deep tissue sports massage? That hurts like a mother. Also, who gets a massage on their lower back, hips, and upper hamstrings fully clothed?! Any decent sports massage that I have ever gotten was in the buff or in a pair of tight briefs or split cut shorts. Working the flutes? Then it was definitely au natural.
SJD and TL are also terrible actors! That whole convo was so stilted and her reaction was like she expected the LMT found a tumor but was relieved that it was just a muscle knot. Just pathetic. Why are some people so invested in these schmucks?
If the doctor says anything other than you need to shut it down and get an ultrasound or something and rest, Seth will be on a mountain hobbling up it to do some 14,000ft squats within hours, while True Love laughs and carries on like an absolute lunatic.
Whoop should sponsor him with moneys and a device so we can stop stressin about how much he's stressin (or not) about his finances, and maybe it'll improve his training too. It's a win win win.
I would love to see a video titled: Reacting to letsrun comments
I think it would be a big hit
Jimmy Kimmel style "celebrity (in his own head) reads mean tweets LRC comments"
I agree, big hit written all over it. Maybe he'll get desperate enough to do it when his house is about to get foreclosed on or something. Seth, think of all that sweet sweet ad revenue you're leaving on the table! That's a lot of butter, c'mon now!

1. True Love never says no to Seth. 2. Seth has professed a love of economics.
Perhaps Seth, in all his infinite wisdom, said hey True Love, I’ve done some macroeconomic (Or micro - whichever would be wrong in this scenario) analysis and looking at the property market, it’s gonna run to the moon baby! Interest rates? They’ll stay where they are right now right now right now for ever! Pure butter cmon now! So if we sell our small affordable place and cash in there, and with the DGR fam using all their spare cash on affiliate links because inflation is staying below the tree line so everyone has money to burn, we can turn the doorknob on a palace and eat nothing but bobos and almond forever!
True Love of course responded by nodding and smiling like a crazed Willem Dafoe and confirming his totally incorrect forecast by saying the carbon rods in the Adios Pro 2 are ama(Seth cuts her off before she can finish).
Do not fear, he simply needs to find the right physiotherapist. The one that says he can run through the pain... Wasn't that the purpose of his second opinion call with his PHT?
He did? I thought he called True Love who pretended to be a medical receptionist for the sake of dramatic content. Notice when he "calls a doctor", they don't ask for birthdate confirmation or policy information per HIPAA? It's also weird that they are not using automated data capture / verification systems before putting him through to a human being. Sure, he could edit that out for privacy purposes but a person picks up and starts dispensing information without bothering to validate the caller.
