When i was in high school, there was this house we ran by on the sidewalk and the guy would always yell at us to "Stay of his parking." One day we run by his house, and our whole team was running together and some were on the sidewalk and next thing I know a girl screams. We look over, and this guy is standing by his fence with a big knife and he put a trip wire from his fence to a tree that a kid fell over right after that. Our coach called the police and we never saw the guy again.
Not a great comment from the idiot little kids but a great comment from my coach...in high school we were running on the sidewalk and this bus is traveling the same speed. 8 kids must have been yelling at us--all stupid things, run forest run, run, run faster, etc etc. My coach (a 28 year old woman) yells "I HOPE YOUR PARENTS BEAT YOU" in which case- the kids shut up.
I guess I've got a bit of a mean streak...one day while out running, I see a Dad pushing a double Baby Jogger. I shouted to the kids, "Tell Daddy to go faster!" The Dad laughed, but I suspect his run felt really long.

one time this guy yelled "Run, Gathering of trees, Run!"....gets me every time
Ha, coming across this discussion is pretty funny since I just wrote a whole post on my blog about the subject. However, my contention was that none of them are original! Some of these are pretty good though!
Similar thing happened to me and my buddy in college. We had planned on doing a tempo by repeating a mile and a half loop that was very flat. Along the course were some of the sports teams houses and a few fraternities and sororities. It was only a week before school started and alot of the students had come back to school. There was a stretch of 3 house that house large groups of people outside drinking/partying/grilling. On the first run by we were offered beer from some ladies running out with cups already filled, like in a road race. Both my buddy and I grabbed them and downed them like water. The next houses did the same thing, it was great. The tempo went out the window and the pace only picked up when we went in front of the houses.
Another story happened recently. I was on a run down here in DC and passed a homeless man. When I passed, he stood up and started singing the Star Spangled Banner and saluted me. He actually had a pretty good voice.
I was running solo during college and got a "Can I take you home?!" from a girl hanging out of a car window.
