What bothers me about Haile's response is that 5 of his employees were arrested and held for two weeks for nothing. That may be a point against Mo but it's not a point in Haile's own favor, or his hotel's. I'll remember how civil rights work in Ethiopia if I ever consider visiting.

I noticed this too. Is it supposed to add credibility to Haile? I suppose, but in the process it makes Ethiopia seem like a place where a lack of status means lack of legal due process.
In fact, I know us Americans complain about our legal system, but how many societies in history can the richest man have his d*** pics leaked and be blackmailed and the perpetrators don't fear for their lives at all? Was thinking about this on my run yesterday.
Come on, are y'all buying into this? This is clearly some made up WWE like drama to build up the London marathon.

I can't speak for Mo about his expectations. But I certainly wouldn't expect a hotel in Ethiopia to be protected by the Nevada statute that -- contrary to the common law and statutes in states that are not run by the hotel and casino industry -- generally grants immunity to Las Vegas hotels against claims of property theft in guest rooms, at least where an adequate safe or vault is provided and the hotel is not grossly negligent. And regardless of the governing law, I would expect a hotel owned by Haile to be very accommodating to Mo. So I'm guessing that this dispute was about much more than $3,000 and a watch. And I suspect that Mo's decision to elevate the matter isn't going to play out well for him.

Did anyone else pick up on the vid of mo fabricating the thing about why he was screaming at the motorcycle driver? He says it was about his bottle getting mixed up...not about being mad at the volunteer taking a selfie/pic of him. Maybe there were two different incidents?

My comment was mainly in jest to join in on the drama. I agree with you that both could be telling the truth. Out of context, it seems like Mo wanted to be the first to talk about the incident so his spin gets out first. I'm not sure though.
