It's interesting to see how easily young athletes can be written off for some of the most random of reasons. Hindsight is 20/20 of course but it's important to remember that progression isn't always linear. Likewise, comparing the trajectories of past athletes to current ones doesn't often prove to be a reliable predictor of performance. Everyone's story is different
