Of course fat adaptation is important. However fat ingestion is not, and is contrary to good performances.

I imagine your statement may be too dogmatic, at least for outlier ultra distances; for example, consider a 3000 mile Transcon ultra.

Here is another interesting factoid...in one of her interviews she said The Maffetone Method was a bit too fast of a pace for her mileage and high aerobic fitness. Does anyone else find that interesting?

Super-slow twitchers have to train below MAF pace. Zack Bitter is another such outlier. This is something I will never experience personally.

And if Usain Bolt moves up to the marathon he will be able to run sub 1:30.

No one cares about 100 mile Ultras they're a Joke and its apples to oranges comparing a 100 mile race to a marathon...People get over it...yeah, she ran a decent race, but it's not like winning a Gold Medal in the Mile in the Olympics...

I see that half of the 6 pages are literally about trying to insult me and my running opinions. I can talk English well enough. I don't mind some people sharing opinions. I know Bekele might not do the equivalent of 26:17 10k because he is most best at burning sugar, not fat. Camille Herron did run good. I have to say. Probably tough, my favourite ultra runners are Jenn Shelton and Dean Karnazes, although they are past there peaks now so I don't think they will get records. Them nike vaporfly 4% must make it alot easier. Maybe I'll get them some day when they are cheaper.

Faster due to the coefficient of restitution, which would allow faster running overall.

The lady is a beast. I love that she isn't a trail snob, that she is very confident but doesn't need to disrespect other runners, and I hope she doesn't get robbed of the Ultrarunner of the Year title yet again.

(Not that the title means much, specialy after last year some of the voters made their choices and reasons public and it was plain obvious it's a popularity contest to some extent, there's a clear trail and 100-mile bias, and the members make little effort to follow international races. Still, she deserves the recognition.)

It will be interesting to see with Cat Bradley winning Western States and just setting a record at Rim to Rim. I'm a huge Camille fan so I hope she wins but we'll see with the road/trail bias.

Running is a 'relatively simple' sport, in terms of categorization, when compared to bike racing.
