At Sea Level on a track (I'm assuming it was on a track) that is probably his higher end aerobic threshold pace. With those recoveries that is a great aerobic maintaince workout.

I'm calling this entire thread bulllshiiiat again. The workouts DO NOT add up. Just one example is him running a 15 miler with all those 5's and a what 6:00 average? His other workout times and PRs don't match up. Something aint right here.
In workouts I focus on a mixture of different paces. I don't try to kill the workouts and try to accomplish the goal of the workout. I appreciate that you find my hard long run last week impressive. It was a big confidence boost.
2ND CONFERENCE MEET UDPATE:
DOUBLED A 4:20 1600 AND A 9:34 3200. Won both. Was rarely challenged in both races.
Any updates? I'm still checking this thread.
Same, I'm interested in how you're doing

Good result, glad to see you're making progress.
3200 fresh.
Another win. 9:22. Led most of race.
Good, when's the sectional and state meet?

Best result yet. Good for you keeping at it.
When's the next race?
Any updates? Has state happened yet?
How many states even still haven't had Champs yet?

Guess op never existed, pretty sure all state finals have happened by now.
Thought all along workouts and times were not matching up. You guys were suspicious also. Even if he was at altitude times not quite right. Oh well.
Bump. You owe us an update, even if it's fictional.
Has states happened yet?
Wow, reviving this disappointment of a thread.
Hey guys, again my great apologies for not updating you. I figure I owe it to you guys to do so and saw you bumping this thread. This thread was 100% real and I ended up actually posting some great times. I did not win state however, I finished on the podium, which is still a huge improvement and great accomplishment. I ended up breaking 9:20 (3200) and 4:20 (1600) and ended up winning several championship meets with a few accolades, which turned a lot of heads. I think the thing that you all need to get from this thread is anything is possible as long as you set your mind to it, and you all have potential in you even if you are the only one who sees it. No matter how small and bismal your chances are, if you truly believe you can do it deep down then you absolutely can no matter what. If you scroll through page by page you can see my lack of confidence turn into commitment, dedication, and hard work. I stopped updating all of you guys because I realized that I do not need "fans" or people to support my journey. The only one I need is myself and once I truly believed that, I didn't need you guys telling me how great of shape I was in because you were telling me something I already knew. I left nothing to chance, to question, and I went out and worked hard. All of my training runs, were all true and at the end of the day I just wanted it so bad that even some of my off days were my best races. The mind rules everything, (I know this is cliche), but get your mind right and your body will follow. Nothing else matters.
