I completely agree. Jenny goes after it. Her focus is on world class competition while Shannon just wants to beat JBS. She did. Yay for her. 4th place. She didn't even try for 3rd just happy to beat her nemesis.

I want to give Shannon the benefit of the doubt and think she's always just running her own race and sometimes Jenny overextends herself, but this shit happens EVERY time.

I think it's not so much that she shadows Jenny as that she doesn't have the confidence to pass Jenny before the final 100m. It's like Jenny is her mental barrier. Maybe she could have ran 3:56 again today, we'll never know.
