I don't think you appreciate how much 400 and 800 are strength events. Look at it with developing boys - the quick ones can compete over 100 over more developed boys, and can compete over 1500 and longer because you can develop the aerobic system of a young boy without the testosterone.

But the real strength events at 2-4-8 is where the testosterone type strength kicks in, and is why the XXY women are dominating.

Sorry, that is nonsense. Both your analysis of the events from 100-1500 is nonsense, as well as your analysis of high school age sport, as well as your analysis on how testosterone works.

100m is far more of a 'strength' event than the 800m. Testosterone IS 'steroids'. Steroids have historically been abused in the sprinting events. Because they increase muscle strength, power and mass.

And none of what you said changes the fact that the 800m is weak right now and a girl like Dibaba could run 1:55 if she could be bothered. My point was literally that the 800m for women discounting Semenya is a weak event. Based on times. 1:57.7 in an Olympic final expecting to medal is a joke. These girls are 53/54 second 400m runners with terrible endurance to boot. The 800m WR SHOULD be in the 1:53s. 1:55/1:56 SHOULD be required to medal in the Olympics.

The top 3 in the men's event went under 1:43. Do you really think that is equivalent to a 1:56/1:57 time for women? No way. Dibaba closed her 1500m last year in 1:57.

For anyone that cares, try dividing the men's WRs or other very fast men's times that might be seen in the Olympics by 0.9.

It is only a rough conversion, but you might discover something interesting.

Haven't you heard? Liberals have pretty much ditched the interests of women who are the three Ws: white, wealthy and Western. (Not to mention straight, cis, thin, conventionally attractive and able-bodied). They are now pretty much the enemy too; the only way they're not the enemy is if they find themselves in some conflict with a man who's white, wealthy, Western, straight, cis, thin, conventionally attractive and able-bodied. I can tell you from personal experience that early puberty boys dominate the 400 like no other event. Talented but normal developing boys can get close over 100 (it's more power than strength) and to a lesser extent 200, but for the 400 the 1yos with armpit hair are unbeatable.

I've got a talented 16yo normal developer who has competed from 100-1500 over the last 5 years. It is the same in every age group. The man child with a bit of speed wins the 100 and 200. The man child with less speed but who trains a bit wins the 400 and 800.

Same story - every age group, every year, at age group state level. Doesn't even out until about 16-17.

I'm not saying women's 800 is not weak. I'm saying that for 400 and 800 strength is a massive part of it, and that's why the XXYs are dominating.

Anyone who saw the farce that was the women's 800 will be thankful.

Semenya was interviewed too - completely sounds like a bloke, though some women do have deeper voices than others, so that is not conclusive.

And the flexing the biceps after the win hardly helps her to win any sympathy. It's just throwing her additional strength in everyone's face. She does always try to shake hands with everyone, but many of them didn't want to know her.

If Dibaba runs 1:55, Caster runs 1:54. If Dibaba runs 1:54-mid, Caster runs 1:54-low. Dibaba knows she has NO chance against that man. Even when fully doped, which she clearly wasn't in RIo. Dibaba will avoid the 800 like the plague under any circumstances.

Thousands of runners can run faster then Sharpe in 800m and nearly all of these will never have a chance of competing in the Olympics because they do not have some ridiculous non justified protected sub category to compete in. Sharpe is much more than lucky to be a professional athlete when really she is not at all up to standard - she would get destroyed by a non 800m specialist like Farah in his last 800m of a 10000m!

So yes the IOC should sort things out and have only athletic open competition for the t and f events and then we will not have to put up with wining athletes such as Sharpe,

That's no his point. He's saying that the 800m specialists are so weak that even kipyegon and dibaba can beat the women, aka 4th place onwards.

As a woman, I see Semenya as a cheat. Semenya's only qualification to being female (given that she has internal testes, is biologically male, has XY chromosomes, has a male phenotype, etc.) is that Semenya was raised as a girl and increasingly finds running as a woman financially profitable.

Its clear that the female runners Semenya comes into contact with don't view Semenya as a female, or as an honest competitor.

No-one is suggesting Semenya lowers her testosterone levels, just that Semenya should race against the other men. Why is Semenya so afraid of this?

The CAS ruling is temporary, they are monitoring evidence to clarify whether testosterone makes a significant enough difference to justify different categories of competition. Seriously - the entire history of humans, our understanding of biology etc has not reached such a level where courts are able to understand if testosterone makes a difference to performance!

All the criticism of Sharp etc for being women and white is disgusting. I mean, how dare they be women and expect to have ambitions to winning medals in their event, in their disgusting feminine state? They should be more like men, have higher testosterone, bigger muscles, bigger bones, bigger lungs! Of course they should! Merely being the fastest women in their home countries is meaningless!

I think you'd be better using an example other than the suspect DiBaba.

The question that should also be asked is, in the interests of fairness, why was Semenya so slow when on testosterone suppressing hormones? She wasn't just a bit slower, she wasn't an also ran, she was running non Olympic qualifying times. Ditto the other questionables in the field. Clearly the natural women are much better at running the 800m even on their naturally low levels of testosterone. The 3 medallists in the 800m really are moderate athletes, make no mistake. They wouldn't even be competitive at local level in their home countries with the men, and when equalled in terms of testosterone, can't get anywhere near matching the best women.

Remember…anabolic steroids are a placebo effect. They do not really work.
