Dallas Cowboys Best Team in the NFL?

I don't like the Cowboys but I am very impressed by DeMarco Murray.

They kind of got away from using him near the end of the game. It didn't look like he could be stopped.

I'll agree with the reservation that if Murray goes down, it all goes down. Regardless, the Cowboys are still ranked 20th in yards allowed on passes and 23rd in yards allowed on runs. They still have so sure up that defense.

Where Dallas was at full strength. Foles was in his third week. FOLES. Not everyone loved him. He was awful last year (especially in the Dallas game. Played like he was injured before the concussion) but got away with it because DJacks was there. He got concussed in the 3rd quarter and Barkley came in. BARKLEY.

I still believe Orton did better than Romo would have. But both of them would have choked. And the Eagles were without Dennis Kelly (OL) and our #2 safety.

I wasn't critiquing Cowgirl wins. I was critiquing their loss. And I certainly wasn't careful.

But, yeah, 4 losses were possible. Just like is was possible for Dallas to lose 4. But nether of us have.

Do you honestly believe it when you say Romo wouldn't be better than kyle orton (remember romo had basically all first team reps all year, orton had one week of real practice). No way Dallas loses that game.

And you can't compare losing Sean Lee (top 2 linebacker in the league) and Tony Romo is the same as losing an offensive lineman and a #2 safety? Come on man.

Either way both teams seem to have a knack for winning this year and I believe both will continue to beat up on the other divisions all year. I'll be at the thanksgiving game, should be a good one.

Sure I do. Dallas scored 17 points against the Eagles with Romo at QB. 22 with Orton. As long as we're only looking at last season.

Meanwhile, look at what Orton is doing in Buffalo with a (comparatively) much worse receiving core this year. Extend those stats out (he has only started four games) and he's beating Romo in every category. He has a slightly lower completion percentage, but a slightly higher QBR.

As for the guys the Eagles lost, Offensive lineman open up everything. As you probably already know, the Eagles are based off of the run. Look what has happened this year without all our offensive lineman. McCoy has been trash.

In that game, Foles got sacked five times. The Cowboys were the 25th WORST team in that category past year.

When you're getting that kind of pressure on the QB, the deep ball just isn't there. DJacks was held to a total of 28 yards. The longest reception was by CELEK, the big ol', rumblin' tight end. Don't tell me losing offensive lineman doesn't affect the game.

Cowboys are fine. Teams like this are built for the season. One loss doesn't mean squat. Great o & d line, running game, defense etc.

I bought some of that "Tony Romo Cologne". Put some of that on and the other guys score.

As the poster above noted, that was all Jerry Jones. When the owner/gm goes to the sideline and talks to the coach it is clear who is ultimately in charge.

If Jerry said he can't go back in, he doesn't go in.

Jason does a great job of managing Jerry I believe but Jerry going into the tunnel and the sideline was so unnecessary but shows what type of organization the Cowboys have. It also shows how he worships at the altar of Romo. Would he have done that if Murray was injured?

Im so baffled that you think KYLE ORTON is a better quarterback than tony romo that I don't even know how to argue. I just wont. I cant. Its too much. You gotta be the same type of eagles fan who thinks Foles is more than the 3rd best qb in the nfc east.

Either way I'm glad we can put aside our differences and agree on two things: It will be a heck of a second half of the season with two dallas/eagles games likely deciding the division, and that mathturd must be a giants fan.

Romo was stellar in the game before that injury. That being said, I don't think Romo at 85% is as good as Weeden was at 100% last night.

The real reason the Cowboys lost is because their defense was awful last night and because Murray and Randle both lost huge fumbles. They let the lowly Redskins hang around because of that. Never should have gone to OT. Dallas should have dominated early.
