I like the one about the gloves. It's right on the money. I get mine at Dollar Tree, but anyway, you get the idea.

The Ironman Triathlon is funny, and it gets the point across, but the entry fee and the cost of a racing bike probably keep out a lot of people I'd think of as legit blue collar runners.

Kerry is a yuppie writ large. Less than 12% of the labor force is union, and Bush gets the majority of their support, just as Reagan did. In the blue collar union trades, Bush gets the overwhelming majority of support.

Union pencil pushers, I'll grant you, are behind JK, but they aren't blue collar, or generally interested enough to be "obsessed with national security", unless they lost a loved one on 9-11-01. Billionaires don't speak for "the working man". Oil men do a mcuh better job of that though.
