Withstands repeated charges to hold lead. This is basic, balls racing.
You guys need to understand how demoralizing it is for HS kids and world class athletes alike to try to pass and be held off again and AGAIN. D

Back in the day the kenyans would have one or even two sacrificial lambs even in the final, who would go out and destroy everyone for the first few laps..while the eventual winner stayed in the field, but no one knew if he was the legit threat or not..there was some planning and teamwork involved..I dnt think that's the case anymore and it's each man for himself, and they think they can win with a kick..not going to happen.
