Mo is a class act. No doubt many pro athletes would have blasted this woman to kingdom come. Further for him to go on twitter and defend her gives him huge bonus points in my book. With that said I can understand not knowing who Mo Farah is but to ask someone who just set a course record if they had ever run before is just silly. That and obviously no homework was done by the segment producer or anchor before interviewing Mo.
I've just thought of a new thing to say. I'm going to try it out here on this thread. Feel free to copy me:

1. The reporter should have done her homework...we get it.
2. Sometimes reporters are thrown into a story at the last minute as a subsitute.
3. All newscasters have said or done something stupid at one time or another.
4. Most Americans have no clue who the Olympic medalists are (besides Bolt)

If she was interviewing Alberto Salazar after his 2:09 win at the 1980 NYC Marathon, and asked "is this your first marathon?" He would have replied "yes"

Interview was designed for the locals, not for LetsRun cult. 100 locals see it; 100 locals say it's good interview. Still, it was riotous for cult and Brits. TSA does not know who the hell Mo is either. Any Mo is suspect. Excellent TSA software. Excellent TSA personnel from the top down.

If that were the case, she would have most likely mentioned he has had success on the track. Her failure to mention his double gold this past summer makes it clear she actually went full retard.
