Yes, but Bolt wouldn't be able to run 700m in 1:34, let alone jog it.

drivel
kip's was converted 24.4
A poster challenged you to find an example of a 1:43 guy who has run a 12.0 or faster in a 1:46 or faster.
And you have failed to offer one name who actually has done that, whether they were a 1:43 runner or not
moron
we don't need to dig up ultimate 100m, but here it is :
rudy
11.3s
in a 1'43.5
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1WBTlr5igfkNo one has agreed that Kip's 25.2 was worth anything faster than 24.8 in a 1:45.1
moron
find someone else but you imbecile
We are still waiting for the names of all those athletes you claim could run 12.0 in a 1:46??
ultimate above at
11.3s
elites don't waste effort running 1'46.0 nowdays
here is raw kid running 12.8 in his 1'44.7pb - & no one claims he has has 46
use your numbskull & offer his last 100m if he was a 1'43.0/46+ guy
don't know what raw kid you drivel about...
but that 11.3 is bullshit
You say Rudy is at 1:32.2 with 100m to go?? That is the yellow line on the track (actually he is even two steps further). Compare with Blake on the same track, then you see that line is not 100m to go. Or are you claiming Blake ran his first 100m in 10.8 in his 19.26?

you must be a total moron if you think andrew was finished article

blake ran 19.26 off nonsense 0.126 & that was 1y later with different timing

Any specific reason for mentioning this 90m time?
90m is 10m short of 100m. Maybe you know...

You are an utter idiot. His last 200m in that race is 26.6, which is clearly shown on the screen with official timing. IF his last 100m was 11.3 as you claim, that would have made his penultimate 100m (the curve)15.3!! That's 61.2 400m pace. DOES THAT SOUND REASONABLE VENTOLIN?
Take your medicine first before contemplating that one, and you may just get the right answer.
He hits the 100m mark, which is clearly visible, at 1:30.6, making his last 100m 12.9. I've got no idea where you are even getting 11.3 from, as he hits the 90m at 1:31.9, which means his last 90m was 11.6, NOT 11.3.
11.6/90 * 100 = 12.88r
Thus 12.9.
Go AWAY AND TRY AGAIN!!!!!
And we've already established that Kip's 25.2 does not convert to 24.4.

You really are blind aren't you. That last 100m from Rudisha is 12.9. His last 90m is 11.6!

LOL. Andrews last 100m in the link you give was 12.8/12.9. His last 200m was 26.4, so his bend 100m was 13.5/13.6. Nothing special. He ran pretty even splits and just cruised round the last bend. Should have been able to go sub 13 off a 13.5 penultimate 100.
Pales into insignificance compared to Coe's 12.8, 12.0 (24.8) in Rome 81 1:46, or his 12.4, 12.4 (24.8 running wide) in Stuttgart 1:44.5, or even 13.3, 12.3 (25.6 front running all the way) in 1:44.0 in 81.
Or even Kipketer's 12.6, 12.6 Worlds 95 win in 1:45.1.
Ventolin had a week to come up with this. Pitiful!
Just a question for ventolin, I am looking to run sub 3min41 this summer and I think I will be able to run 49.50-50.00 for the 400m and 14.05-14.10 for the 5k. Will I be able to run sub 3min41?
I've long thought Tinman's charts were accurate for better runners. Not sure how well his math holds up for elites.

50.0 / 14'10 ->3'42.9
49.5 / 14'05 ->3'41.2
your endurance may not last perfectly to 5k, so i woud suggest you have a good chance of your aim in "perfect" race
