you must be from montana, MACE!!! it is good though, although not comparing to kokonee (my main beer!) and molson, moosehead, or labatts. what do you think about lone star mace? i for one dont hate it, like many posters on here seem to do. why i ask?

I've had plenty of Guiness and lager, and real english and irish ale's not brewed in the States...(Is guiness still an import, I think they actually brew it over here now.)...when i worked 4 years in a Restaurant/brewery that specialized in food and beer from englane, ireland, and wales. Its called "The Shipp Inn" for reference.
We had a chef's exchange with england, and not one culinary expert from england or wales or even ireland enjoyed guiness, its their version of coors or budweiser. They all agree it tastes like shite. However they much prefer newcastle ales, and the house brew.
Its a matter of opinion, me I like a beer i can drink with my meal and not as my meal. If it goes down smooth and doesn't rile the taste buds, its for me. As for pee water, sam adams and red stripe are a tad watery but both definetly still have their flavor. I mean, we are runners here not fat irismen.
Actually Guinness was made to be quaffed in huge amounts. It's was made as a lower alcohol drink, compared to the brews from the same area. This is a big misconception about guiness. The bottled crap (Guiness) in the US. is crap and will make you sick. The Draft bottles are a step in the right direction, better than the widget.
Ah Yes, Hamms. They killed themselves with that stupid advertising campaign. Cartoon bears playing baseball is for little kids not beer drinkers (21-49 white males primarily - well, that's the target demographic anyway unless it's Malt Liquor, then they head to the inner city (all races)).
Man oh man you most likely haven't tried much of the swill that people have been talking about. Perhaps all the beer in Canada is good (anyone ever tried Cinci? - a Canadian Beer even with that name), but there are some absolutely horrible beers here in the US.

True it is a matter of personal taste and those crazy chef's obviously have bad taste. I visited Ireland and found that the locals enjoy Guinness and I don't recall any of them being fat, probably because every sport over there involves a ton of running.

Yeah, DUVEL. This beer is fantastic! Thanks for remininding me Eddy. Rod Dehaven told me about this one back in 1992 at one of those Metrowest Twilight meets in Boston. It was about freaking $10.00 for a four pack. (No not six).
One of those special occasion beers, I asked for it for a Chrisrtmas present once.
In Amsterdaam I had some on tap at a bar. I raved about it to all my friends and they all hated it.

Kilkenny is the best beer ever. I spent some time in South Africa and drank every single day until I could drink no more. The problem is I can't find it now that I am back home. Maybe I will just have to order some!!!Good pick though!!!

You all need some culture if you have MGD in your top ten beers. There is very little finer than pouring a Market Street Pilsner into a nice tall pilsner glass. Bass is another one that I'm a big fan of. On a summer day though, there is nothing and I mean nothing better than an Abita Wheat with a lemon in the neck of the bottle.
No, I think eddy is correct. Pilsner Urquell is brewed in
Pilsen in the Czech Republic, hence the name. If memory
serves, the first lagers were brewed in pilsen, and not
too long ago at that (circa mid 19th century) Good stuff.
