If not, Mattox. 5 I agree could be wide open. I would take Dear if Pavlus tries to triple with Luegers of Ithaca as a darkhorse.

Breitbach's not entered in anything at WIAC after running 29:49 at Hillsdale last weekend. Did he get hurt after the race or is he skipping conference to save himself for nationals?
Probably saving himself, not a huge point for him to run. What is the team hunt looking right now? McMurray, NCC, Wiac?

McMurray is always in the hunt until the actualy meet. Last year they served up the biggest flop I've ever seen. I say it has to be NCC FTW. I don't know if anyone will be within 15 points of them.

I think and hope NCC runs away with it...really there balance is incredible. I think there are a lot of schools with shot to trophy...McMurry, Oshkosh, La Crosse, Augustana and La Crosse. If McMurry flops we could have a CCIW/WIAC trophy sweep.

if you think Pavlus will beat Gossels in the 10 you are sorely mistaken. I watched her jog a 35:18 this past weekend.

I would think Dear or Gossels of Williams would contend for the 10k and/or 5k, and might be favorites but Pavlus still has not lost a national race that I remember lately. Valerio of JHU could also be in the hunt in both after her runner-up finish indoors and almost chasing down Pavlus.
I would never, ever count Pavlus out of any race. She has proven again and again she's a gamer!

That's wrong--her 5k pr is 17:57, but she just ran 17:30 pace for 10k? Plus, it's the same meet where that kid ran 3:30.
I agree that it seems like that time isn't legit but its even listed on the methodists website as her having auto qualified for nationals with the current fasted time. you'd think if they knew it was a wrong time they wouldn't put something like that on their website
