Honestly i find it unlikely this will be the scenerio. History shows us that after huge years like that, it's not repeated very often the following year. Whether its' Jennings or Stember, or Krum, or Webb, or Myers, or Lukezic. Lots of people have career years, and then struggle to repeat or improve up on that. What are teh odds those 3 guys follow up their seasons last year with equal of better seasons? Is it possible? sure...do i want to see them do well? Of course. Is it likely all of those three will be competing for the title? Not at all.
Then i find it humerous that people are ripping Webb apart (not saying you are), and talking about these other guys, when Manzano just ran a pretty lame 4:07 at the same meet Webb ran a 4:00. I'm not bashing Manzano, just pointing out there seems to be some inconsistencies with singling out Webb yet talking about Manzano as if he's in 3:32 shape. I saw that race in person and Manzano did not look like someone who would be beating Webb. It's one race, just as Webb's race was one race and he could turn it around. But if people are going to say, oh Webb will have a hard time competing with those guys if he's running a 3:37 now....how can people say that when Manzano IS ONE OF THOSE GUYS and just went 4:07? Just doesn't compute. If anything using that type of logic people should not even be considering manzano as a threat.
