Those hats without a top on them (visors) that middle aged "athletic" men wear with such abandon and frequency. Wear sunglasses if you don't want that in your eyes.

What's wrong with short shorts on male runners that someone expressed? 3" split shorts are a hell of a lot more comfy than 5" giant parachute shorts. If you don't have sexy man-legs, don't wear them. If you do, have at it, they are far superior in terms of comfort. That said, I hate the ones with flags on them that are all blousy and loose.

Aside from some Australians (and not all of them), every person I've ever known who wore an Australian bush-style hat, with one side of the brim up, was a complete a$$hole or douchebag.

Not sure if it counts but anytime I see someone wearing a camelback during a race (with aid stations) that is less than 100 miles is clearly a MORON.

Going to second Crocs...awful. Seems to be the thing for 30-something dad's to wear...that and the tapered light colored jeans left over from 1996.

One thing that is really, really funny to me as a CPA is the "young southern CPA casual dress code." This equates as follows:

Girls - 7 jeans, with grey/trail NB shoes, and North Face fleece over some boring top/sweater probably from J Crew.

Guys - Almost same exact uniform, save khakis or Banana Republic jeans for pants, and a Polo shirt (no knock offs...MUST be Polo).

The bonus for the guys is they can wear the khaki pant version to work...and they do about 70% of the time.

I'm not sure I agree. I don't like Camelbaks personally, but I think carrying water in some races is smart. Some of these races have very poorly organized and/or crowded aid stations. Also, they might hand you a cup that has 1-2 ounces of water in it, or one that is entirely too full that is easy to drop. Some of these volunteers don't know what they are doing.

I have no discomfort carrying a fuel belt and it barely slows me down. It also allows me to take water on downhills, or perhaps more importantly, when I'm thirsty.

Coveralls on either guys or girls ... let the attire stay on the farmer.

This look always gets to me, and you see it constantly on campus: Overweight girls wearing tight as hell jeans, topped off with a frumpy collegiate hooded sweatshirt. Their hair is messy and they look like crap. Also, anyone who wears a scarf as an accessory, not for warmth is a douche.
