In this case, I guess I'm the dick and I apologize for implying it was your fault when clearly it wasn't. Sounds like happenstance and fate were the culprits here, and I hope for the sake of qualifiers like yourself that they fix the registration system next year. I should add that the way things went today, west coast registrants may have had an advantage since it sounds like the system opened at 6am and 7am respectively rather than 9am on the east coast when people were at work.
