Thanks for the correction " Bit O History "
Seems like you know the situation and have the best background of all of us on rsb.
So, let me get all this right.
1. rsb is not 'recruiting' kendra, although he offered her free room and board, and coaching, which despite me being a field event guy, looks a lot like a partial scholarship offer.
2. It appears that rsb has coached some good female runners in the past.
3. rsb fancies himself as an expert on eating disorders/female body issues, dismissing qualified MD's on the subject.
4. rsb was a coach in a respected position some time ago, but 'stepped down' amongst public allegations of misconduct with some of his women.
5. rsb wants to 'set the record straight' and call out a bunch of other guys whom initials it seems most Canadian track people from the 90's would know ( instead of saying that he has learned from his 'issues', moved on, and can now just concentrate on coaching with integrity ).
This is better than a soap opera!!
Questions for rsb;
1) Since you were a good, qualified coach, why would you not have the respect to Contact the Washington coach about potentially coaching Kendra? Would you not want the same courtesy when you coached at a high level?
2) Do you really think you are better qualified at eating disorder counseling than a professional? Really?
3) Do you think setting the record straight will make your actions acceptable? If the stories are true, tell away, I will read for interest/amusement and maybe change my opinion of the situation, and you, but you seem rather desperate right now.
I knew a few Canadians in college, they all seemed nice, tell us your story, I would love to run it across them...
