Thanks!
Anyway, we might as well keep bumping this thread. Based upon what I've seen, the Celtics are going to lose twice EVERY week!!

It looks like the Celtics' mid-season slump has come a little earlier this year. Last year it was more of a mid/late January to early February thing.
Wow! The Celtics actually WON today, so that means another Boston streak has been broken... four losses in a row! LoL!!!
First, the Celtics(the reigning nba champs) should be embarrassed when doc rivers neutered his team in the 4th quarter by going to the Hack a Ben. The Cavs have gotten much better this year while the Celtics just got a little older and their bench a little thinner.
It was no great feat for me to predict the two losses. Most teams struggle on a cross country trip.
The real reason the Celtics turned into the Wizards in two weeks was because of LETSRUN!!!!! Seeing the subject posted on the front page about their great win streak, etc. was what prompted my post. Shortly after that, I was BANNED FROM POSTING and have been banned since (4 weeks now).
Obviously the running and basketball gods did not agree with this and took out their wrath on the hapless Celtics. Only if I get reinstated will the celtics even have an outside chance to do well. Even then, it is inevitable they will get CRUSHED by the Cavaliers in the playoffs.
NBA finals
Cavs 4
Spurs 2
Ripvanracer posting from a library in Memphis in town to watch the Cavs shine on Beale St!!!

After a pair of victories over Toronto, the Celtics are now 2-4 in their last 6 games. This, of course, is the same record earned by the Lakers in the 2008 NBA Finals.
Celtics take 7 in a row. Suns fall again and are number 1 in the category of overrated Western Conference teams, along with the Spurs. Only one real contender in the West, three in the East. The Lakers should be able to pad their record againt their joke competition in the West. We know they'll need to if they have any shot at winning it all.
How did the Lakers do against the Magic this season? Anyone remember?

If the regular season had ended last night, there would be two playoff teams in the Eastern Conference with losing records (a.k.a. "joke competition")! In stark contrast, the Western Conference actually has nine teams with winning records.
Next time, you might want get your facts straight before your ignorant trash talking makes you look like a fool.

Who has the best winning percentage in the NBA right now? Anyone remember?
That's because the West has 6 absolutely horrible teams.
Yeah by .1. Huge lead over the rest of the league. Any more genious stats?

How ironic! Thankfully, you have clearly displayed how articulate and intelligent you really are within your last two posts.
Winning %, Team
.814 LA
.810 Cleveland
.804 Boston
.767 Orlando
.674 San Antonio
.659 Denver
.650 New Orleans
.622 Houston
.605 Atlanta
.558 Detroit
Scored as a dual meet, it'd be West 27 vs. East 28. Looks pretty even to me.
Well, if this were football, that'd be like comparing a the records of the top pac 10 teams with that of the top 10 ACC teams, if the records are the same, it doesn't mean much because they mainly play each other (9 of 13 games in the pac 10 are against pac 10 schools, 2 out of every 3 games in the NBA is against a same conference team).
How about some unbiased rankings from a reliable source? Sagarin's current computerized rack-and-stack shows that the Western Conference has 9 of the top 13 teams in the league:

Let's cherry pick numbers. The west has 9 of the top 13? Why didn't you say 9 of the top 15? Or 9 of the top 23? Oh wait, because that would make the west sound worse.
Sagarin's current computerized rack-and-stack shows that the Eastern Conference has 3 of the top 4 teams in the league. Or 2 of the top 2 in the league.
Nice loss to the Bobcats at home, Lakers! Kobe should keep taking those selfish, difficult shots.
Can't wait for the Celts to destroy the Lakers with or without Kevin on Thursday! I will be there.
Please refer them as the Current and 17 Time World Champion Boston Celtics.
It's no coincidence the Celtics have now won 12 straight games and I find myself no longer banned from posting.
While the celtics will squeak by the Lakers at home as Kobe goes 8-44 from the field, they will get beat the next night by a hot Knicks team.
