NEVER finished out of the top 5?
NEVER finished out of the top 5?
Yup since moving to the NCAA (in 1992) never finished worst than 5th.
western blows

and that 5th place finish was due to horrible luck.
I love how some Western guys always feel like they have to qualify their 5th place finish in NC.
"Oh we would have done better, but we had bad luck". F-that. Just suck it up and quit whining about it. Every team has bad luck at some point. Some Western kids feel like somehow one of their teams getting fifth one year threatens their sense of supremacy. Don't be so pompous.
agree with u annoyed! prove it this year western instead of talkin bout bad luck BS.
Western was one shoe away from a much better finish in 2003. That's how things go I guess.
sure, but you could say that about a lot of teams.
This weekend will make for a great time. I am looking forwad to yet another WSC title. Hogarth will be back and the guys are on fire. Look for 4 in the top 15 and possibly 7 in the top 25 as WSC dominates like it always does. Jen Michael NCAA coach of the year and first female coach to win the NCAA championship for a men's team!!!
Jen, get off letsrun!!!!!

Okay the guy is th conference champion for the LONE STAR CONFERENCE. And even worse he races in the SOUTH CENTRAL REGION. If he couldn't win there without Nicodemus then the guy is for sure no contender for much of anything. It would be more impressive if he had to run the GLIAC RMAC or out west where there is more going on than an ACU tempo with a kick. ACU is a joke. with their top runner they maybe have a shot. Without him they lose to Missouri Southern. WSC has only had Hogarth suited up for one race and they are #1 in the country. ASC has had problems with their team this year and they are #2. Sounds like a lack of depth to me and that means when the wildcats finally decide to run with the big boys instead of beating up on Ft. Hays the world will see that they aren't the team that everone wants them to be. Keep in mind only 3 Championships have been won outside of the state of Colorado SINCE 1992(men and women) Number 4 won't happen in 2k7 people!!!
Top 30 in Division II make All-American... but I also know that the top 30 natural born Americans get an All-American award. Top 15, though, get a plaque, no matter where you are from. This is the only sport in DII where they honor natural born Americans (I think DI does it with track too, and maybe some other sports). I've seen the natural born All-American award work its way back to 40ish+ place before. Crazy, huh?

Unfortunately, you left off the "since moving to the NCAA" in your earlier claim that Western has never finished worst than 5th. Western does have a cross history dating prior to 1992.

ACU's castoff (Ngirakamaro) was their #4 runner last year.
This Lone Star Conference & South Central reject went on to dominate your regional meet.
Just for fun, I'll wager that ACU & MO Southern split the top 4 (ACU,WSC,MOSO,ASC).
Furthermore, ACU will have 3 in the top 5, #4 in top 10, #5 in top 15.
