Cole Hocker decides what his goals are, no one else. He uses races as a means to an end, which is global championships. Just because you think it suspect that he fully emerges in these types of races doesn't make it so. From the outside looking in, Grant Fisher and Nico Young seem to put a little too much importance on their whole season of running and were definitely not as good in the Worlds as they were earlier in the season. Laros too. Cole seems to only be 100% dialed into career defining races.
Grant definitely had bad coaching, but Nico barely raced all season, so that narrative is 100% false. And if we’re being honest, try explaining how Cole, with a full on dad bod, ends up winning a gold medal. Go ahead, defend that one.
OMG I’ve always said he looks flabby for an elite runner. Big time sus
He just has a long torso and relatively short legs compared to most distance runners. After meeting him person I can say he’s not flabby and doesn’t have a “dad bod”. The spiteful jealousy from so many posters on this board is quite a spectacle. Cole has two gobal gold medals and you all have zero. Deal with it.
who knows? he was close to age group champ all the way.
so that is not a ped profile, of the blatant kind.
i just point out ped profiles that are more than obvious, which wada knows very well.
like jumping from 149 at age 23 pb to 142 at age 25 type thing and the lady that isn't tired after a world record, in the sprints, an over developed jaw, beard, shoulders. in combo with the ped profile, these people test positive sooner or later, the few that make it thru, well it comes out in the wash eventually, as did viren's reindeer juice. with the exception of too big to fail, that be jamaica secret sauce. thats the big one that people really don't want to hear about.
For any doubters, here is Cole Hocker at 19/20 five and a half years ago in 2021 closing out a double NCAA mile-3k double within an hour, with a last 200m of 25.x and a last 100m in the low 12s to catch Cooper Teare, already a 3:50 miler at the time, who had gotten the jump on him on the last lap with Mario Garcia Romo (soon to run 3:30) between them. The kick was always there when he was fit.
Given this information...I'd ask people calling out Hocker as sus to go look up what George Mills was doing at this exact same time (2 years older than Hocker, mind you), and tell me who's progression from early 2021 > 2025 is more suspicious.

He is the best peaker since Tatiana Samolenko, cope and seeth haters.

Well, I wouldn’t go that far, lol. Funny post though. 🤣
Do you even run? Ever heard of peaking? Suspicious would be an athlete being at the top of their game the entire season, not one that seems to be at their best form for Worlds.
True. This is why honest people raise their eyebrows at characters like Wanyonyi, never mind his coach who has athletes under suspension. Armsberglivs is too busy hating om the people at the top of his hate list, American white males.
You never read anything and understand it. Most of my doping accusations have been levelled at the regiment of Kenyan cheats. But there are dopers everywhere, including white males (and females). The sport is truly "enhanced".

He's up there with Lance for peaking. One of the best climbers I've ever seen.
Again, all this bs about "peaking when it matters". Hocker has only won 4 races the last couple of years. The pattern of "peaking when it matters" is also the patten of an obvious doper! In many of the races in between his wins he's been absolutely demolished by his competitors....
Not winning a race does not mean he got demolished. Every race he has been in, he has done decent and better than his 2024 season. It all just looked like a steady progression to me. I think a lot of people mistake his failures in GST as him being totally unfit, He has made it clear the past two years, he ONLY sharpens up when he absolutely needs to which is at world champs. Even at US trials, He knew making that 5k team was the hardest task for him and went all in to make sure he got that done.

If it wasn't for his "peaking" no one would have a clue who he is.

An Olympic or world champion is expected to be dominant in their event, not an also-ran. Without those two championship wins by Hocker he would simply be another guy on the track that no one would remember. The rest of the competitive year he consistently loses. If it was Ingebrigtsen you would all have been saying his career is over.
Goes from nowhere in contention in Stockholm to running a 52 in sub 13 race. Sorry, I don’t believe it. Moan and complain all you want but he wasn’t the best at anything this year.
dude ran 7:23.14 indoors this year, so if that's 'nowhere in contention' that's interesting
