Watching it in retrospect, and how "invisible" he went after the 1st k was a masterclass: after he'd relinquished the lead, the pack stayed globby, and he didn't fall out the back like Mills or the few others, blow his load with a mile/km to go like Jakob out of probably desperation, or get into any wrestling matches, with 400m to go it was like "oh, he's still there, if he has the gear shifter ready and the nitro boost, he's got it." And sure enough I was screaming at my TV in my building at 7am. F*ck your Sunday sleep, upstairs and downstairs neighbors!
