You can't put us all in the same category. I'm left-wing, feminist, pro-choice, pro-equal pay etc. Have never voted conservative, but I can see the harm this issue is doing to the LGBTI community, to the trans community especially, I can see that it's not fair competition, and that the blowback on the trans community is far worse than any supposed benefit they think they're getting out of this. Women's sport does matter, it matters to women's equality and platforming of female role models, especially in parts of the world with regressive gender policies. And this is something that is damaging women's sport, not just the potential for takeover, but also for the change in how it is discussed - instead of women being championed, they are being sidelined, or worse denigrated as bigots when they should be celebrated for their achievements. You say you don't like how WNBA players are treated, nor do I, but female athletes in every sport are at risk of being abused and denigrated if this doesn't stop.
Yeah. That's why I think trans girls should quit organized sports as early as they can, and stay as far away as possible for the rest of their lives.
There are many benefits to playing sports, but those do not outweigh the constant abuse and threats that trans girls face from the society for simply trying to play sports. They can find other hobbies and find friends in those nonathletic activities where their existence is not perceived as threat.
