what a kick by Congdon!
Well go live with the show at 6:30 pm ET.
what a kick by Congdon!
I thought wiley was in trouble with slow pace and boxed in and then Hunter cuts her off. Congdon with super close.
Happy for Sage who has come up short a bunch, tough break for Wiley

Nikki tripped up another lady. Ahem.

Yep - that trip totally halted Rogers and Hunter in their strides, too.
As the most in-form athlete in the field, Wiley has gotta look at her own tactics there. Waited way too long to push to the front and wound up in a position where a trip was likely. Does she still have a path via DL?

Hunter needs to be dq'd and banned from all future championships
That Hunter head movement just irks me. Probably a me thing...but still.

Did Sage impede Aikens a bit at the last second? Hard to tell if it was intentional or not
Knowingly at that point in the race? Not a chance it was intentional

Is there a risk of Hurta-Klecker being DQ'ed for impeding Akins? Seems like she was going to win anyway but in the head on shot she stuck her arm out.
Was wondering this too. Think no (and don't think she should be) but wouldn't rule it out

Akins got Jakobed.
Not really. They went through in 60/61 -- no one in the field was pushing the pace here

Akins moved to the outside of lane 1 on a straightaway for some reason. One of the slow motion views showed this.
Wiley is still young but it stings for sure with how well she was doing in the Diamond league.

Great to see her come back from her challenges.
This! You can sense there is a joy back in her in racing, rather than like an obligation. So incredibly happy for her, she was massively boxed in and found a way. Kudos to her

I think you need to win the DL final. She is qualified already but it will be tough with Hunter Bell and Duguma there.
Hunter screwed Wiley but that's why you don't want to be stuck in the middle of a pack of 6 going into the last turn!
This is why I didn't pick Wiley, her tactics spooked me. Why would you take the semi out in 56 and string everyone out, then let yourself get boxed in that badly in the final?
Wiley just isn't good enough. She completely fell apart running a 56.9 first lap in the semis, which dictated her to run in the pack today. Though she should have been something like low to mid 58.x, 56.9 should not destroy a sub 1:57 runner.
Wiley needs to make it a 1:57 race
Super smart race by Willis grab lead but take it slow.
