Almgren mentioned that he is racing 5000m at Monaco DL in a podcast that was released today.
He also mentioned that he believes/feels confident that he can run 2 seconds faster if he doesnt have to lead most of the race.
He believes that he is most competitive in 10 000 at worlds, since the 5000m races tend to be relatively slow - which will make it hard to beat the 1500m guys. But he will be racing both events.

All train the same. All differences in performance level comes from different level of doping.
Almgren recently got new doping, only he got it.If the current sub 12:40 Ethiopians get the same we will see 12:20 regularly.

I havent followed his career at all,but i did know that sweden has one or two world class middle or long distance runners. He's been around a long time,and i dont know if hes doping or not. All i can go by is pics of him. His thin skin looks like its glowing,he's got veins popping out,muscles on a skinny body,and he looks very gaunt,and his face is looking sunken. I've seen that look on russian athletes . What i do know is the shoes give him at least a 10 second advantage,and he's really not a 12.44 runner,at all.
