You have to be very proactive to attend school track meets because the schedule and the season could pass without you knowing. My kids attended elementary and middle school and not once did I see an email, flyer, or announcement for track tryouts or events. So maybe the track coaches need to start putting short blogs in the school flyers and start recruiting. Track seems to go by unnoticed. And it doesn't help with T&F, Diamond league moving to pay per view where your average audience or channel surfer can't view it. Therefore, the audience for track has dwindled.
