Skechers represents Hollywood glamour, while Brosnan is a member of the Jonathan Club. Their collaboration in Big Bear comes as no surprise.
Holy smokes I saw this. I saw a post from the Jonathon Club on Instagram regarding an event, and they had a shoutout for Sean Brosnan (@realseanbrosnan) thanking him for his support. Seems like Letsrun is on point sometimes, huh?
Brosnan has passion like no other. I think Skechers should make their performance running shoes under a different name (similar to how Decathalon did with Kiprun). And take this team to the moon. If he brings on some talent, he will get the most out of it. Legendary coach.
Mammoth TC was started by Joe Vigil & Bob Larsen. They were based there because they liked it for training. That's what drove them there.
The Mammoth training group - Team USA California (2001) - was a joint collaboration with / launched by coaches Larsen & Vigil, Running USA, USATF and Nike.
Supported by the Nike, New York Road Runners, the Town of Mammoth Lakes and Running USA, the program’s athletes utilized the resources at Mammoth Lakes for high / low altitude training and the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista for sea level training throughout the year.
Later, the group became Team Running USA (2004) and then Mammoth Track Club (2009).
You're right! BBTC posted recently that they were recruiting at Iowa State. Brosnan has had a place in Big Bear for awhile, they have the running camp, it does make sense!

I’m not sure where this idea that Brosnan owns a place in BB came from. A family friend had 2 kids on the team during the Brosnan era. The team rented different homes during that time for their altitude camp, which the team split the cost. This family friend actually did own a home there and let part of the team stay there.
He may have purchased a home recently, but I doubt that since he rented his condo in Thousand Oaks for the past almost decade and he hasn’t had a job in 2 years. Tough to buy a home with those circumstances.

Brosnan has actually owned a home in Big Bear for over 10 years and has two properties. I'm not sure why you seem to think you know more about his situation than Brosnan and his family and friends do.
Carlos Handler and his wife Brenda Martinez seem to own quite a number of houses in Big Bear. I came across some real estate posts on BBTC Instagram, and it struck me as a bit odd. It turns out that both Brosnan and Handler have ventured into investing in Big Bear alongside their housing endeavors. From what I've gathered, Brosnan seems to be doing financially well. He's been traveling to various races all over the US and world like the diamond league races, finals, and even the Olympics in Paris. I saw multiple posts of his trips to Hawaii over the past couple of years on Instagram. Brosnan was kind enough to let some of our high school boys join his training camp during his stay in Newbury Park. The setup was impressive, with those massive houses. While it's likely that those were rented, it's clear that Brosnan is involved in buying and selling properties and has the means to travel lavishly. I don’t think most peoples homes in Big Bear were big enough to host a team for 20+ klds. I wouldn’t use my houses for that either. As a teacher for the past 18 years, I can't help but notice the stark difference in financial status between Brosnan and myself. Despite what some posts may suggest, Brosnan seems to be thriving and enjoying a good life, now even possibly residing in Big Bear full time.

You make it sound like Sean is a groupie.... news for you. A lot of people went to the Paris Olympics. Sean too. But as a spectator.

I've seen him post from races like Oslo DL, Olympic Trials, Pre, London, Boston NCAA’s, Brussels DL, Eugene NCAA’s, Paris Olympics. And don't forget Hawaii and Spain on his Instagram - maybe for business or vacation? He's been at almost every major race lately!
Everyone take it easy on the Sean Brosnan stalking topic . I get that he's an amazing coach, but the constant speculation about his personal life, vacation and houses he owns can be a bit much. Let's try to respect his privacy and focus positive vibes.
"While running at Adams State, he won both the 2012 NCAA Men's Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships and NCAA Men's Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships at 800 meters. His wins helped the team win the outdoor championship and was runner up indoors. Adams State coach Joe Vigil recommended Berian to the Big Bear Track Club, a small track club formed by Carlos Handler around another aspiring unheralded former collegiate athlete, his wife, Brenda Martinez. In that year of training he improved to become the #5 American 800 meter runner of all time."
Also Berian (pr 1:43.34 in 2015 before the endorsement trial) training before 2016 Trials:
