Sub-26:50 for both Samuel and Blanks is looking really good.
Do you realize how fast sub 26:50 is?
Do you realize how fast the WC standard is?
Shoot for the standard which is dam fast. Anything better is fantastic.
I mean, Samuel ran 26:53 with a solid kick a year ago, and Blanks was always better in 10k XC and the 5k. Both were in great form indoors.
Anything under the standard is ultimately icing on the cake, but just as you ask for more respect for 26:50, also recognize how good Blanks and Samuel already are, and they’re in maybe the fastest 10k race in the world. I wouldn’t say sub-26:50 is super likely for either of them just bc it’s so fast and so much has to go right, but last year we saw a ton of falling off the pace before a huge sprint the last 1k where like 10 guys ran 26:52-59. But the year before that, recent 12:51/54 guys Kincaid and Klecker went for it and neither broke 27.
Idk I think we’ll see some surprising times, the field is better than it was 2 years ago. Sub-26:50 probably just depends on good pacing
all flotrack needs to do is add a $10 ppv option. would probaly make 70-100 off of me. I won't pay for either of the other two options out of principle.

I totally agree. Even better, make it a $7 pay per view. I would do that 15 times.
Chances of a national record in the 3200 by Rylee Blade???
Record is Elizabeth Leachman 9:45.57, February 2024.
Blade's indoor 5000m of 15:16.72 is worth 1155 WA points, which converts to 9:24.54 for 2-miles outdoors. Even if you ignore the discrepancy between indoor and outdoor WA points, her time was worth 1131 points outdoors, equivalent to 9:32.18 for 2-miles.
Is there anybody in the field that can push her or would she need to go it alone? Pace lights available?
Tostenson and Kitchen 5th (3:40.06) and 9th (3:41.62) in the 1500m. Slotting into 7th and 8th alltime for HS (not including enroute splits for the 1600m / Mile).

Man, these kids race a lot. what's the point?
They've only raced 6 times since NXN. Seems pretty reasonable for an indoor season and now an outdoor opener. I have to imagine their next race isn't gonna be until Arcadia.
