My view of all things Kenyan is not good. It’s worse than South Africa and India. The people there are desperate for a living. It has no limits. They will do anything.
Chebet has likely been tested 8-12 times in 2024. That isn’t to say she isn’t doping, but it is to say if she is, she’s doing so in a way that beats frequent testing. If we had access to her ABP/missed tests history we could have a little more clarity.
Statistically speaking, as per the AIU pre-Paris data (averaged for the top Kenyans at Paris):
she was tested 9 times out of competition in the 10 months pre-Paris, 6 thereof by the AIU, 3 by ADAK.
Now with the ADAK not testing, that goes down to 6 in 10 months (and that is assuming that the AIU can test in Kenya without ADAK's help). The AIU wrote that they amplified their testing for the Olympics, so they likely relaxed down to 4 - 5 or less. Meaning, 1 OOC test every other month, or, 2 - 3 tests in total since Paris. Not exactly "frequent testing". Houlihan for example passed 19 OOC tests by USADA alone in 2020, before finally slipping up and getting caught by the AIU at her home.

I'm wrestling through your post for some relevance to my claim and some fact. All there is is that Chebet, you say, was tested 8-12 times. If so, those would have primarily been in competition testing. Did she miss any tests? Was she being tested in country? If she and others aren't being tested in country, it doesn't mean much. The top athletes crush the high and mid level athletes in part because they are given more sophisticated doping programs with drugs that disappear quickly from the level needed to test positive. Yet, plenty of medalists have been banned, so it's not as if the top athletes are just clean. We all know this stuff because we have read many articles about it.

I haven't seen that quote from Makdwallo, so thanks for that. However, it is from September, more than three months ago, since the issue has been made public. There have been articles since describing a meeting with WADA and commitments to find the funds to meet their obligations. Seems like we need a more recent update to confirm whether no tests have occurred since July.
None of this impacts AIU testing of international class athletes in the RTP.
The consequence for not meeting Category A testing requirements is an ineligibility to compete in certain events.

Women also get race-long pacing from men potentially in a road race. Chebet ran 14:09 on the track this year, but I think she was solo the last 3,000 meters. She didn’t have male pacers in this one but was keying off sub-elite men throughout once the rabbits dropped.
This is the biggest factor and few are talking about it. We should go back to treating women’s only races as the standard for records and ignore men-paced races or treat them as a novelty only. Makes no sense to have men-paced records be the official ones

Why not just do away with the gender categories in distance running? The best women are now running sub 14, sub 29 and 2h09 which are internationally competitive times so I would just have one open category for the prize money and let the best human win. This isn't like combat sports where there could be a risk of injury so I see zero reason today to not have just open categories for pros. I would keep things like gender categories or master categories for statistical interest only.
Chebet has taken 20 seconds off her own record. I can't wait to see when she soons runs 13:30 - and so on. And it will always be clean to running fans.
Chebet shows that a likely doped woman is as good as any DSD male. Obviously, there is no advantage in having male anatomy and male levels of testosterone if a woman is doped to the gills.
